Token cap table and vesting management platform.

About us

Magna is building a platform to turn DeFi investments into financial primitives. Our first product is Carta for Web3, where companies can manage their cap tables and distribute their token equity to employees, advisors, or investors. We're also building crypto-native tools for fund managers.

Updates

  • Every cycle, someone publishes a thread about why airdrops are dead. Every cycle, a handful of well-run TGEs happen quietly, with functioning back offices, real community goodwill, and far less noise than the ones that failed. The bar is low. That is the opportunity.

  • "Airdrops are dead" gets published after every bad TGE cycle. The mechanism is not broken. What is broken is the back office, and "airdrops are dead" is a more comfortable narrative than "we did not build the infrastructure." Just saying.

  • In traditional finance, you wouldn't close a securitization without legal, custody, and compliance aligned at the table. Token launches require the same discipline, but most teams don't treat them that way. The minting moment in crypto is the equivalent of closing day. Every decision made is permanent. Initial supply. Who holds the keys. The custody structure those keys live inside. You can migrate, reissue, and patch. You cannot go back. The teams that get this right treat minting as a coordination event, not a technical one. Legal has signed off. Custody is live and tested. Tokenomics are locked. Exchange contacts have seen the vesting schedule. Most teams have some of this in place. The ones with good launches have all of it. https://lnkd.in/d5tp4fjV

  • The token economy is growing up. Better eligibility logic. Real vesting design. Compliance built in. Multi-cohort programs that scale. This is exactly the infrastructure we built Magna to provide. The market arrived where we were already standing.

  • One of the most consistent patterns across token launches: custody onboarding starts too late. The gap between "selected" and "live and tested" is consistently longer than teams expect, integration timelines vary from weeks to months. And the earlier you start, the more options you have. Teams that begin at T–8 months have fundamentally different launch experiences than those who start at T–6 weeks. The difference shows up exactly when it matters most: launch day. More on what needs to be in place before minting in the TGE Readiness Series. https://lnkd.in/d5tp4fjV
