  • This year, we launched something that means a great deal to our team: the LANGD Skilled Trades Scholarship Program! It's our way of putting real investment in skilled trades, ensuring that the next generation receives the right support. We're proud to announce Alexander Rodriguez from Apopka High as one of our very first recipients. With a future in plumbing ahead, Alexander represents exactly what this program is about: hard work, purpose, and a commitment to a craft that keeps our communities running. 🎉 Attention students: applications are still open! • 🏆 We're proud to share that LANGD has been recognized as a 2026 APGA SOAR (System Operational Achievement Recognition) gold winner! Out of approximately 750 public natural gas utilities across the country, LANGD was selected by peers on the American Public Gas Association (APGA) Operations and Safety Committee for demonstrated excellence in system integrity, system improvement, employee safety, and workforce development. This recognition belongs to our team, the people who show up every day to keep natural gas flowing safely and reliably to the homes and businesses we serve in Winter Garden and surrounding communities. Thank you to APGA for this honor. We're committed to continuing to raise the bar for our customers and community! Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eBXEnTZM

  • Did you know that many natural gas lines are installed underground, which can help keep service available during storms? That means even if the power goes out, some natural gas appliances may still be usable. If you ever smell gas or experience flooding, leave the area immediately and call Lake Apopka Natural Gas District’s 24/7 emergency line at 800-542-3344 or 9-1-1.
