Sergey Brin joined us at The LAB during a Google Cloud hackathon. What stood out wasn’t just the visit, it was the room. Engineers shipping. Founders testing ideas. Students stepping into the arena. This is how ecosystems actually grow. Not headlines, rooms like this. Miami’s edge is becoming clear - a community of people who show up and build. If you’re one of them, you’ll find your people here.

Congratulations to LAB Member Michael Assraf and the Flamingo Team on their launch today! 🦩 Backed by experienced leadership, a laser-focused team, and great early investors, Flamingo is building the operating system for MSPs. We're excited to see the next phase of Flamingo. 🚀
Today, Flamingo steps into the light - out of stealth, opening our beta, and backed with funding to move faster. The US runs on SMBs, and SMBs run on IT delivered by an often-overlooked industry: MSPs. These outsourced IT & security providers are the invisible backbone of the economy - too often neglected by innovation and VC dollars - while margins get squeezed by software price hikes and consolidation-driven competition. This is why we built Flamingo. Flamingo is an open-source + AI company building the vertical OS for MSPs, focused on the industry’s most pressing issue: margins. Today, a typical MSP spends 25–35% of revenue on tooling (products to buy, pre-configure, and resell) and another 25–35% on labor for 9–5 or 24/7 support. As the market consolidates, MSP per-seat prices go down, vendor prices go up - and margins get crushed. Flamingo changes that equation by replacing expensive point tools with one unified data model and API across existing open-source tools - self-hosted or managed - plus a pre-baked multi-agent AI layer that takes on the mundane, repetitive tasks. That lets MSP teams focus on scaling, not the simple stuff. We started building in May 2025, shipped an alpha, and we’ve been working closely with our OpenMSP community and 1K-strong waitlist we opened in July. 30 MSPs are already deployed, and we’re iterating fast to deliver the best experience for these hardworking pros. If you run an MSP and want higher margins with fewer tools and more automation, the beta is open - I’d love to get you onboard on OpenFrame. Finally, a word about the team: none of this happens without a small, scrappy, and relentlessly customer-obsessed crew. From engineering and DevOps to product, design, and community - thank you for every late night, early morning, and rapid iteration. I’m proud to build this with you.
