  • Congratulations to Baylor Scott & White Health! In partnership with Nordic, BSWH reframed the EHR education as change management to better ready nurses for integrated, real-time device data within the Epic EHR. he team brought mobile devices, smart pumps, and barcode scanners into the classroom and connected them to Epic training environments. This made it possible for clinicians to practice end-to-end medication administration workflows exactly how they are at the bedside. The collaboration saw results including: -Faster stabilization at go-live (dropping from 10 days to 5) -Sustained safety behaviors (a 99.6% compliance rate with the new Commonwealth Care Alliance drug library) -Markedly higher Rover adoption where integrated classroom scenarios were used Special thanks go to Sarah Bolick and Jamie Sloan for their help in creating this case study. • Recognizing our final Peak Award winners from the #K2Summit: Humana & Healthcare Organization 3! Together, these organizations worked on their shared friction caused by manual data-exchange processes and a history of fragmentation. To solve the issues, they jointly adopted HL7 FHIR, Da Vinci guidelines, and modern APIs. As a result, this shift has accelerated data ingestion, reduced administrative burden, and significantly improved the completeness and reliability of clinical information, strengthening quality-measure performance and supporting the partners’ broader VBC goals. • Congratulations to the collaboration between Aetna, a CVS Health Company, Catalyst Health Group, and athenahealth for earning a Peak Award during the #K2Summit! What did they do? They reduced the VBC administrative burden by replacing manual workflows with automated, standards-based encounter-level CCD exchange. Through C-CDA, FHIR, and Da Vinci implementation guides, the collaborators enabled real-time data sharing, reinforced discrete documentation practices, and established ongoing performance reviews. As a result, the initiative has eliminated the need for providers to submit supporting documentation through payer portals, and more. Learn more about the outcomes they saw at their case study below. #HealthcareInnovation #MemberEngagement #HealthIT #DigitalHealth #K2Summit

  • KLAS's yearly update on acute care EHR market share just published today! EHR purchasing activity slowed significantly this past year, with 40% fewer hospitals impacted compared to 2024—and nearly 50% fewer than in 2023. Reasons for this vary, but in general health systems are navigating policy uncertainty while also prioritizing investments in technologies with more immediate financial impact, like AI and operational efficiency solutions. This report explores these trends and what it meant for vendors in this space. Learn more in the full report, or from a new blog by report authors Coray Tate and Paul Warburton both linked below.
