  • Workplace decisions are often discussed in terms of experience, utilization, and policy. 🏢 But in the boardroom, the conversation usually comes back to one thing: return on investment. 📊 That is why we built the Kadence ROI Calculator. It helps workplace leaders translate better workplace operations into measurable business value, from reducing wasted space to supporting better employee experiences and more informed real estate decisions. 📈 Because when the pressure is on, “this feels like the right move” is not enough. You need a clearer way to show what the workplace is returning. 💡 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eM8j8gFd #WorkplaceOperations #WorkplaceStrategy #EmployeeExperience #RealEstateStrategy

  • See how Kadence creates a closed loop between workplace operations and space planning. 🔁 WorkOps captures the day-to-day signals that show how the workplace runs, including bookings, attendance, occupancy, visitor management, move management, and space management. That occupancy data flows into SpaceOps, where workplace teams can model scenarios, plan floors, assign desks and neighborhoods, schedule moves, manage stack plans, and execute change with confidence. 🏢 Then the cycle continues. Once changes are made, those updates flow back into daily workplace operations, giving teams a more accurate view of how the workplace performs. 📊 That is the Kadence Loop: WorkOps generates the occupancy data SpaceOps needs to plan with confidence. SpaceOps executes change back into WorkOps. The loop never breaks, and neither does your data. • Assigned desks were never the answer to workplace belonging. They just made belonging look easier to manage. In his latest piece, Dan Bladen responds to the idea that removing assigned desks turns employees into “corporate nomads.” His view: the real issue is not desk sharing. It is what happens when companies remove old workplace structures without building better operations around them. That is when flexibility turns into friction. 👥 Teams become harder to find 🏢 Space becomes harder to trust 📅 Office days become harder to coordinate 📉 Real estate decisions become harder to measure The end of assigned desks does not have to mean the end of belonging. It means leaders need to design offices that feel intentional, connected, and easy to use. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eZcMryiy #WorkplaceOperations #WorkplaceExperience #AssignedDesks #FutureOfWork

  • Optimize the workplace with a clearer view of what’s happening today, and what needs to change tomorrow. 🏢 Kadence helps workplace teams connect day-to-day operations with smarter space planning. WorkOps captures the signals that show how people and teams use the office, from desk and room bookings to attendance, occupancy, visitor management, move management, and space management. 📊 SpaceOps turns those signals into action, helping teams model scenarios, plan floors, assign desks, schedule moves, and execute workplace changes with confidence. Together, they create a more connected approach to workplace optimization, where employee experience, office usage, and space strategy all work as one system. ⚡ Watch Jamie Addis and Sofie Kirk Buckland explain how Kadence helps companies move beyond guesswork and build workplaces that perform better for people, teams, and the business. • This is the challenge with workplace planning: portfolio-level demand can make space look like it is working well, while floor-level data shows a very different story. In our latest Kadence Pulse, Ali Carson breaks down how localized oversupply can stay hidden inside otherwise active estates and why that creates real risk for workplace and real estate leaders. Dan’s point is exactly the one more teams should be paying attention to: if excess software spend would trigger scrutiny, excess space capacity should too. My CFO would not be happy with me if I let this happen. If a company bought 15x the software licenses it needed, the CFO would demand answers. Yet, in commercial real estate, holding onto 15x the necessary capacity often flies under the radar. Why the disconnect? There is a massive misconception in workplace planning: if there’s meaningful demand across the broader portfolio, leaders assume every square foot is optimized and working well. Recent data from Ali Carson and Kadence shows that simply isn't true. Overall demand masks localized inefficiency.

  • AI isn't making workplace strategy less important. It's making static workplace strategy impossible to defend. 🏢 Dan Bladen sat down with Brian Elliott to unpack what's actually changing. The office isn't disappearing. The companies building the AI economy are still taking on significant amounts of space. The real shift is pace. Headcount moves faster. Attendance stays uneven. Business units behave differently from each other. Executive pressure on cost isn't letting up. Workplace leaders are now expected to operate at the speed of business while managing assets like leases, layouts, and infrastructure that move far more slowly. A spreadsheet and a utilization report can tell you what happened. Neither one helps you test different futures before committing to an expensive decision. That's the gap SpaceOps was built to close. Scenario modeling for growth, capacity, adjacencies, and policy before decisions become mistakes. One customer thought they needed 100 new desks. The real answer was two. • Most companies are measuring the wrong thing. 📊 They're looking at overall portfolio utilization and calling it a day. But our latest data analysis shows that a healthy-looking average can still hide a floor with 165 desks and a peak daily demand of just 25 people. In this edition of Kadence Pulse, our Data Scientist Ali Carson breaks down what we found across four enterprise customers, four sectors, and four countries: 🏢 Floors sized for 5 to 15 times their real daily demand, inside otherwise active portfolios 📉 A 6.2x utilization gap between affected floors and healthier floors in the same estate 💰 £3.4M in recoverable capacity across the clearest examples alone The problem isn't that organizations lack data. It's that portfolio averages flatten the differences that matter most. The mismatch only becomes visible when you look floor by floor. Watch the full analysis from Ali, then read the data behind it. 👇 https://lnkd.in/ejSQAhM8 #WorkplaceOperations #SpaceOps #CorporateRealEstate #OfficeStrategy #WorkplaceData

  • Most companies can tell you how many people came into the office last week. Few can tell you whether it actually helped anyone get their work done. 🤔 Dan Bladen's latest piece for Fast Company cuts right to it: attendance isn't the same as productivity. And the organizations still managing their workplace by instinct rather than evidence are flying blind. 🗓 Your busiest day isn't always your most valuable. One Kadence customer was convinced Wednesday was their peak day. The data showed it was Thursday. 🏢 The org chart doesn't show how work actually moves. The collaborations that matter most cut across departments, not down reporting lines. 📊 Averages hide more than they reveal. Space usage averages flatten the patterns leaders most need to see. The workplace isn't a static backdrop. It's a living environment that needs to be measured, calibrated, and optimized, just like any other operating system. The future of workplace strategy isn't attendance management. It's workplace operations designed to drive real performance. • How do you plan an office when every decision affects ten others? 🤔 Dan Bladen breaks down how Kadence SpaceOps works under the hood. SpaceOps takes real-world inputs like headcount, growth plans, collaboration patterns, and hybrid attendance, then runs thousands of scenarios to help workplace teams plan restacks and moves with confidence. So instead of relying on static spreadsheets or legacy tools, leaders can compare optimized, defensible options and bring a clearer strategy to Finance, HR, and the executive team. This is the “how” behind SpaceOps 🚀 Helping workplace teams move from guesswork to strategy, and from reactive planning to smarter workplace operations. 👉 Watch Dan’s walkthrough and learn more about SpaceOps: https://lnkd.in/e8GgZDVJ #WorkplaceOperations #SpacePlanning #FutureOfWork #SpaceOps
