Photos from last night's event hosted alongside Corgi and Deel. We brought together GTM leaders from across SF for a conversation on growth, distribution, and what’s actually working right now. Panelists included Melisa Seah (Reve), Adil Mania (Silicon Mania), Jacky Huang (Hard Launch), Chris Lee (Deel), and Slash CRO Shaan Patel. How do brands grow in a world of automation? Surprisingly, the answer remains very human. As our tools change quickly, growth still comes back to fundamentals: community, trust, brand, and in-person relationships. A really great evening at the office, and excited to keep hosting more events for founders and operators across SF. Find upcoming events with Slash at slash.com/events

I recently moved from NYC to SF and have been looking to meet more people from the Columbia community here in the Bay. Next Wednesday, I’m hosting a casual happy hour for Columbia founders, operators, investors, engineers, designers, and builders in SF 🦁 Would love to bring together alumni and students working on companies, products, teams, funds, and ambitious projects across the Bay. If you’re Columbia-affiliated and based in the Bay Area, feel free to reach out for an invite. And please share with anyone who should be there.

Went to a great GTM event tonight with a room full of operators talking about what you can’t automate, and how they actually got early traction. – Shaan P. (Slash): built a referral engine off users who already trust the product. – Melisa Seah (Reve): hosts IRL workshops, design nights, pop-up booth where people printed AI images on the spot. – Adil Mania (Silicon Mania): created buzz by hand-delivering signed physical magazines. – Jacky Huang (Hard Launch): hand-delivering 30 invites for a launch tomorrow. – Chris Lee (Deel): "the work worth doing now is the work automation can’t touch." None of it was that AI is bad, they actually all use it significantly. But when something becomes very abundant, something else often becomes scarce and valuable - and what it takes to stand out in the sea of sameness. I'm talking to people all day helping them automate parts of their businesses, so it was refreshing and fun to be in a room with people talking about the analog, weird, human parts of marketing.

People have asked us what "AI-first banking" even means. Our CEO, Victor Cardenas Codriansky, joined Zack Miller on the Tearsheet Podcast this week to answer. "Moving to agentic banking, where it's important that you, as a fintech, make it possible for your customers to take action on your product as if they were texting a private banker. Not just by logging into a click and drag UI." That’s exactly why we built Twin. Twin, our AI agent, lets you manage your finances directly from Slack or iMessage. Simply send a message and get things done. More at slash.com/twin It’s the easiest, most intuitive way to run your finances, and we’re excited to keep building what the next generation of finance looks like. 95% of American businesses still bank with a legacy institution. Victor Cardenas Codriansky built Slash to fix that — not by going horizontal, but by going deep into niches no one else bothered with. Performance marketing agencies. Import-export businesses. Sneaker resellers. Each vertical gets workflows built specifically for them — sub-accounts, auto-fee capture, stablecoin payments — things Chase will never prioritize. Victor also talked about Twin, Slash's internal AI agent that has read access to every Slack conversation, every database entry, every line of code — and is now being opened up to customers to run their banking via natural language. The Tearsheet Podcast covers how technology is transforming financial services for senior banking and fintech leaders. https://lnkd.in/dm5pHncR

Our investors and customers keep coming back to the same thing about Slash: We’re building a global, AI-first financial platform with a brand and product experience that is fundamentally different from traditional banking. When Meyer "Micky" Malka, founder of Ribbit Capital, spoke about why he invested in Slash, it came back to the brand we're building: “5 years from now? I just want Slash to be a global brand.” From Global Accounts and Global Cards to AI-native tooling like Twin, we’re building financial infrastructure for the next generation of businesses. “Better money makes life better, and Slash is the epitome of making money better.” We're excited to keep building alongside the customers, investors, and team pushing this forward every day. Put your money to work with a higher standard in business finance. Get started today at slash.com

When I started at Slash, I spent a lot of time on our admin workflows. Improving those workflows helped businesses spend less time dealing with operational finance tasks and more time focused on running their business. That same mindset is necessary for building a world-class, customer-facing product. So we built Action Center. It operates like any admin tab, one place for operators to handle card requests, reimbursements, expense submissions, payment approvals, and more, without switching apps. Slash customers, try it out now. Hope it makes your life a lot easier! If you’re interested in shipping high-visibility, world-class product and working with other brilliant individuals we’re hiring at https://lnkd.in/gkzDrsBV

Every action on Slash now consolidates in one place. Action Center brings every financial task into a single queue: → Payment approvals → Expense submissions → Reimbursement requests → Card requests → Card activations → RFI responses What you see depends on your role. A lead operator sees everything across the company. A cardholder sees the one task with their name on it. Same product. Different views. Nothing slips through.
