Most people don’t have a bad portfolio. They have a missing retirement plan. A portfolio is just investments—stocks, bonds, funds—measured by one thing: return. It answers, “How did I do vs. the market?” A retirement plan answers something far more important: Will my income last for life? What happens if inflation stays high? How do I handle healthcare and longevity risk? Can I support family, charity, and my own lifestyle goals? That’s the real difference. A strong portfolio can still fail you in retirement if it isn’t built inside a real plan. The order matters: plan first, investments second. Not the other way around. Too many people walk into retirement only knowing what they own—not what they actually need it to do. If you’re within 10 years of retirement, that distinction is not theoretical. It’s financial security. 👉 Learn more on how a retirement plan should actually be built: https://bit.ly/49wtxuG #Retirement

A tax refund isn’t extra money. It’s money you already earned during the year. So the real question is what you do with it. You can spend it, or you can use it to move your finances in a better direction. A few simple options: 💰 Pay off credit card or other debt 💰 Add to retirement savings 💰 Put more into an HSA if you have one 💰 Build up your emergency savings 💰 Give to a cause you care about It doesn’t have to be a big amount to matter. What matters is being intentional with it. Learn more: https://bit.ly/3QRs6Ra #MoneyWisdomQuestionSeries

56% of U.S. adults do not have any of the five core estate planning documents in place. That includes a will, trust, medical directive, financial power of attorney, and HIPAA authorization. At the same time, 73% say estate planning is personally important to them. Estate planning is not simply a legal exercise. It is a fundamental part of financial preparedness — ensuring clarity, reducing friction for loved ones, and preserving intent across generations. Johnson Brunetti recently volunteered with Habitat for Humanity on a home build in North Easton, MA. We helped with painting touch-ups on walls and ceilings, moved flooring materials into each room so they’re ready for installation, and pitched in with cleanup and organization as the home moved through its final stages. It was a good reminder of how many hands and how much effort go into building a home. We’re grateful to have played a small part as it gets close to completion next month.
