This month, James Hardie was proud to serve as the presenting sponsor of the 5th annual Hearst Magazines Eco‑Conscious Living Summit, where our executive leaders joined industry peers for thoughtful panel discussions on home resiliency and the future of building. During the summit, Samara (Sam) Toole, Chief Marketing Officer, and Amanda Cimaglia, Vice President of Global Sustainability, shared perspectives on how climate‑engineered materials, performance‑driven design, and cross‑industry collaboration can help homes better withstand today’s environmental challenges without compromising aesthetics or livability. The conversations reinforced a critical takeaway: building resilient homes requires leadership, innovation, and collective action across the industry. At this year's James Hardie™ Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational, the biggest challenge wasn’t just on the course—it was off it. With a goal of zero waste to landfill, this initiative brought together partners, fans and innovative materials to rethink what a large-scale event can look like. From expanded recycling and composting to collecting 10,000+ plastic bags and repurposing them into durable composite decking, this is circularity in action. Because building a better future doesn’t stop at products, it extends to every space we’re part of.

The rise of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) reflects how homeowners are rethinking space, adding flexibility without leaving the neighborhoods they love. From multi-generational living to rental income or a dedicated home office, the most successful ADUs feel like a natural extension of the home. Exterior design plays a critical role, too, and we believe it’s more than a finishing touch. High-performance Hardie® siding helps seamlessly match the existing home while delivering long-term durability. See how we can help design an ADU that truly fits your home: http://spr.ly/6045B6IjOD 📸: Talmadge Construction
