Audit backlogs, staffing gaps, and increasingly complex GL policies can create pressure on internal teams. The challenge is finding additional capacity without sacrificing audit quality or consistency. That’s why many carriers are turning to experienced general liability audit vendors. The right partner should do more than simply process audits. They should integrate into your workflow, follow your standards, communicate clearly, and help strengthen your audit program from start to finish. At ISG, our goal is simple: provide scalable support that feels like an extension of your in-house team while helping reduce premium leakage and keep audits moving efficiently. ISG is hiring a Physical Premium Auditor in Lakeland, Florida. If you've driven I-4 in the last five years, you've seen the story. Warehouse roofs stretching toward the horizon, distribution centers going up faster than the citrus groves they replaced. Lakeland sits at the center of Florida's logistics build-out, and that creates premium audit work with serious classification depth: material handling operations, light manufacturing, cargo handling around Lakeland Linder, construction trades feeding the boom, and the workers' comp and general liability exposures that come with all of it. This is field-based audit work. You'll handle documentation remotely but spend the rest of your time on site at insureds across the Lakeland area, working policies that touch warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, and the construction sector, driving Polk County's growth. We want auditors with at least three years of WC and GL audit experience, a working knowledge of state, NCCI, and ISO guidelines, and the interpersonal skills to build relationships with policyholders. Visual Audit experience is a plus. Pay is $38 to $45 hourly. ISG compensates at top industry rates because experienced auditors earn it. Apply here: https://lnkd.in/ezBFwDea

ISG is hiring remote premium auditors across the U.S., and the work looks different than it did even five years ago. Premium auditing used to mean driving a territory and sitting across from a policyholder's bookkeeper. A lot of it still does, and we keep hiring field auditors. But the share of audit work that gets done remotely keeps climbing. Secure portals, video calls, and direct access to payroll systems have made it possible to verify exposures and classifications from a home office. For carriers, that means faster turnaround. For auditors, it means a real career without a commute or a regional ceiling. The work itself hasn't changed. You're still verifying that what's on the policy matches what the business actually does. You're still applying NCCI and ISO rules. You're still the person who catches a misclassified employee or an exposure that got reported wrong. The desk just looks different. If you're experienced in premium auditing, accounting, or insurance, and you're ready to work independently from anywhere in the country, apply here: https://lnkd.in/eMrQ6ET8

Jacksonville, FL: ISG is hiring a Physical Premium Auditor! Rail, naval contractors, and one of the country's busiest auto-handling ports all sit inside this territory, making this an exciting and diverse area for an experienced auditor. We're looking for someone with at least three years of WC and GL audit experience, working knowledge of NCCI and ISO guidelines, and communication skills that hold up across a varied book. Visual Audit experience helps. Top industry pay, and the training program is proprietary. If you're an experienced auditor in North Florida looking for files with real range, apply today: https://lnkd.in/eGiTCZ8K

What records does a premium auditor actually need? It depends on your policy type, but most audits draw from the same core set of documents. For Workers' Compensation, that usually means state and federal unemployment tax returns, payroll journals, and individual earning records. For General Liability, the focus shifts toward the general ledger, cash disbursements journal, check register, and certificates of insurance for any subcontractors. Financial statements (profit and loss statements, income statements, balance sheets, trial balances, tax returns) often come into play for both, especially when reconciling reported exposures against actual operations. The pattern most policyholders miss: these aren't documents you scramble to assemble the week before the audit. They're the records your business should already be keeping. Clean payroll classifications, organized COIs, and reconciled ledgers. When that infrastructure is in place, an audit moves quickly, and the results reflect your operations accurately. When it isn't, the auditor works with incomplete information, and that rarely benefits the policyholder.

ISG has openings for 10 field premium auditors across Florida, plus two remote roles for auditors who prefer to work from home. Full list and applications: https://lnkd.in/eH4Nhn-y Field markets currently open, from the Panhandle to South Florida: Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Orlando, Lakeland, Tampa Bay, Sarasota, Cocoa Beach/Melbourne, Ft. Myers/Naples, Ft. Lauderdale, and Miami. The remote positions are a virtual auditor role and a telephone-and-mail auditor role, both for candidates who can run an audit without stepping on site. If you've spent three or more years on Workers' Comp and General Liability audits and know NCCI and ISO guidelines well enough to defend a classification on the phone, we'd like to hear from you. We hire auditors who treat premium audit as a profession rather than a transaction. Visual Audit experience is a plus. If your specific city isn't on the list, send a resume anyway. We add territories regularly, and the right auditor in the right place tends to create the opening rather than wait for it.

Carrier audit teams tell us the same thing. The general liability backlog isn't really about volume. It's about audits sitting too long while subcontractor documents go stale, classifications drift, and exposure data stops matching what's actually happening on the ground. That's the gap a vendor partner is meant to close. Not headcount for its own sake, but coverage in the regions where you can't staff and capacity for the seasonal peaks that always seem to surprise everyone. The point is to free up your internal team for the accounts that actually need their attention. ISG's general liability audit work runs on your guidelines and your documentation standards. We review payroll, verify certificates of insurance, confirm subcontractor labor, and check that the operations on the policy still match what the insured is doing today. Field or virtual, depending on what the account calls for. The carriers we work with don't describe us as overflow. They describe us as the reason their own auditors spend their time on the complex accounts and the difficult conversations, not the routine reviews piling up by Friday. If your GL program is starting to feel that pressure, here's where to start: https://lnkd.in/eSfKiGVr

ISG is hiring a Physical Premium Auditor in Ft. Myers and Naples, FL! Few Florida markets combine the commercial range this corridor does: trade contractors and construction crews rebuilding after the storm, resort and hospitality operations along the coast, and a growing professional services base that reflects how fast this part of the state has expanded. For an auditor who likes fieldwork with substance, it's a territory worth having. ISG is looking for three or more years of WC and GL experience, solid working knowledge of NCCI and ISO guidelines, and the communication skills to work directly with policyholders on-site. We compensate at top industry rates and back our auditors with the training and technology to do the job right. Remote with field coverage across Southwest Florida. ISG was built on a simple conviction: integrity, transparency, and partnership belong at the center of every audit. Not as marketing language, but as the working standard every auditor is measured against. What makes that conviction hold up in practice is the caliber of the team. Every ISG auditor carries the same promise into every file, whether it's a straightforward WC classification question or a GL exposure with shifting payroll and subcontractor records to untangle. Execute with integrity. Communicate openly with the carrier and the policyholder. Deliver an audit that holds up under scrutiny. That is what "doing it right" looks like day to day. And it's why carriers keep sending the complicated files our way.
