This May, we’re celebrating all those who have served—and continue to serve—our country. Hy-Vee is honored to say “thank you” to veterans and active-duty military with free coffee every Wednesday throughout the month. Plus, as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, we’re going even further—inviting these heroes to enjoy a free breakfast on Wednesday, May 20, from 6-10 a.m. It’s one more way Hy-Vee is honored to show our appreciation for your service and sacrifice.

Hy-Vee was recognized recently with a PRSA Iowa Chapter PRIME award for its 2025 Helpful Smile Truck Tour, which celebrated our employees with 40-55 years of service and those who received our highest honor – The Legendary Customer Service Award. The PRIME awards are presented by the Public Relations Society of America Iowa Chapter and recognize outstanding achievement in public relations and communications across the state. A big congratulations to Christina Landon and Sandy Hafner, members of the Hy-Vee Communications team, who spearheaded this campaign celebrating our helpful smiles.
