Last night, a temporary chiller system was installed at Hoboken University Hospital, and is restoring cooler temperatures to the facility following the malfunctioning of the primary chiller system. Hospital leadership ensured that patient care remained uninterrupted throughout the incident. HRH remains committed to revitalizing its facilities and enhancing clinical services at Hoboken University Hospital, with upgrades and improvements underway including: ✅ Complete renovation of the lobby ✅ New and upgraded patient rooms ✅ Renovations to the Operating Rooms ✅ Addition of robotic technology throughout the hospital ✅ New and upgraded labor and delivery department ✅ New upgraded pediatrics wing ✅ Renovations to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) ✅ Additional clinical advancements and service line expansions ✅ New state-of-the-art outpatient multispecialty clinic

With high temperatures upon us, Dr. Dahlia Chalabi, Emergency Department Medical Director at Secaucus University Hospital is here to share a few helpful tips on how to stay cool and avoid heat stroke: Tip #1: Be mindful if on certain medications Tip #2: Drink electrolytes to avoid losing nutrients Tip #3: Cover sunburnt skin Tip #4: Be aware of symptoms such as headache, nausea or vomiting Tip #5: Cool down with cold compress to areas like neck and armpits Stay cool!
