Calling U.S. University Researchers in Robotics & AI: opportunity for access to Honda’s incredibly dexterous, multi-fingered robotic hand through a call for projects (CFP.) HRI-US is inviting U.S. university research teams to propose projects for our 2026 CFP – with selected collaborators gaining onsite access during summer 2026 to one of the most advanced dexterous, multi-fingered robotic hands ever developed. Access and collaboration will take place onsite at the HRI-US facility in San Jose, CA (lodging included.) This platform represents a generational leap in how robots can interreact with the physical world – enabling new research directions in: • Dexterous manipulation • Multimodal perception and contact-rich interaction • Shared autonomy and embodied intelligence Selected teams will collaborate closely with HRI-US researchers and explore bold, foundational ideas.
