  • Yesterday, our Raleigh team officially broke ground on the new NC State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) headquarters campus on Garner Road in Raleigh, North Carolina. Shoutout to our design partner LS3P ASSOCIATES LTD. for helping bring this transformative project to life. “This project represents a significant investment in the future of the SBI and the public safety of North Carolina,” NCSBI Director Roger “Chip” Hawley said. “By bringing our teams together in a modern, purpose-built environment, we are strengthening our ability to serve our law enforcement partners and the people of this state.” The project includes a new 73,000-sf, three-story addition featuring a specialized training center and dedicated fitness area, alongside a 19,000-sf renovation to SBI’s Building 12. Additional scope includes a separate logistics building, core-and-shell demolition, new MEP systems, and updated finishes designed to align with the new addition. This groundbreaking marks the first phase of a long-term campus transformation for the SBI’s Raleigh site—the first major redevelopment of the campus in more than 50 years. • Bringing complex design to life, one piece at a time. At the National Geographic Museum of Exploration, our team is executing highly intricate millwork that blends geometry, structure, and sustainability. Project Executive Brian Lantz and Site Operations Executive Michael Fowler take us through the process of coordinating curved wood forms with structural systems and MEP layers, to partnering with Mark Richey Woodworking on a custom ribbed fin system. This work is the result of three years of planning, modeling, and precision. Even more impactful—the ash wood used throughout the space was salvaged from New Hampshire and Vermont forests threatened by the invasive emerald ash borer, giving new life to material that would have otherwise gone to waste. In collaboration with Hickok Cole, we’re helping transform vision into reality—where craftsmanship, innovation, and sustainability meet. Opening June 26 in Washington, DC. • Delivering high-performance healthcare environments requires precision, coordination, and a deep understanding of active clinical settings. During #NationalHospitalWeek, we’re proud to recognize the hospitals, healthcare workers, and project teams working every day to support patient care, and strengthen communities. Our New York team was proud to deliver the recent updates to Lenox Hill Greenwich Village Hospital for Northwell Health. This 18,000 sf interior renovation included the addition of two cardiac catheterization laboratory procedure rooms and an eight-bed medical surgery unit, along with the necessary support spaces to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. Honored with the AMFP Greater NY - Association of Medical Facility Professionals 2025 Award of Excellence for Healthcare Interior Renovation, our project team was recognized for their ability to deliver complex healthcare construction with precision in an active environment. Thank you to our architectural partner Twine Architectural Studio, P.C. for their collaboration on this impactful project. • Mental health is an important part of jobsite safety. For #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, Assistant Superintendent Celia Grebenstein shares a reminder that while construction work can often distract from personal struggles, we never truly know what someone may be facing behind the scenes. At HITT, our Culture of Care means supporting one another through everyday actions—whether it’s starting the morning with a friendly hello, checking in on a teammate, or making time for a meaningful conversation. Creating safer jobsites starts with creating environments where people feel connected, supported, and comfortable speaking up when they need help. • This #MothersDay, HITT is proud to celebrate the incredible moms across our teams. In partnership with our Parents of HITT (PHITT) employee resource group, we invited team members nationwide to share drawings from their children illustrating what they think their moms do at work. From hard hats and cranes to meetings and jobsites, these drawings offer a meaningful and often playful glimpse into the impact our team members make every day. We’re grateful for the dedication, leadership, and care our HITT moms bring to both their work and their families—helping build not only projects, but the next generation. ❤️ Ashley Reese - Project Manager, Houston ❤️ Aubrey Armstrong - Creative Director, Washington, DC ❤️ Deena VanAllen - Project Engineer, Washington, DC ❤️ Karlee Loftus - Site Operations Executive, Washington, DC ❤️ Kim Steffenhagen - Project Manager, Los Angeles ❤️ Stacia Zelinger - Senior Communications Associate, Santa Clara #WomenInConstruction #HITTContracting

  • During #ConstructionSafetyWeek, HITT teams across the country came together to reinforce one shared priority: keeping every jobsite safe. Through stand downs, live demonstrations, and team discussions, our offices and projects nationwide engaged in meaningful conversations around this year’s theme: #RecognizeRespondRespect. • Safety starts with a shared commitment to planning and communication. As part of Construction Safety Week, we're sharing a public, interactive training focused on preventing serious injuries and fatalities (SIFs) and strengthening safe work planning across jobsites. At HITT, our high-risk activities (HRA) approach is designed to reflect the realities of today’s construction environment—supporting better planning, coordination, and communication before the work begins. HRAs represent the tasks with the highest potential for serious injury if not properly controlled. By forecasting these activities, aligning early with trade partners, and implementing structured pre-task planning, our teams can proactively mitigate risk and improve outcomes across every phase of a project. Safety is a shared responsibility across every role on-site. The SIF Prevention Training is available in both English and Spanish for trade partners and industry peers here: https://lnkd.in/eisiz9ik #ConstructionSafetyWeek #RecognizeRespondRespect #SafetyWeek2026 #HITTContracting
