Big work is happening at the Valencia Water Reclamation Plant. Our team is helping upgrade the plant’s power system by replacing older electrical equipment and adding backup power so this important facility can keep running more reliably for the community. This plant supports thousands of people in the Santa Clarita Valley, and we’re proud to be part of work that helps everyday life keep moving. Helix participated in an “Advancing Preconstruction” panel last week in Glendale, Arizona. Moderated by Ken from Choate Construction Company and featuring our Preconstruction Manager Raymond Zavalla alongside Charles Esteves from Consigli Construction Co., Inc. , the discussion focused on navigating today’s cost volatility and tariff impacts. We highlighted the importance of timing conversations around cost volatility and tariff effects—ideally early, once initial scope is defined but before major design commitments. A key emphasis was educating clients that a price quote today is simply a moment in time, helping them make better decisions on when to lock in pricing. The panel also explored bridging early benchmark discussions with evolving market realities as timelines progress.
