The average Microsoft Secure Score across M365 users sits between 30–45%. There's typically a lot of room to close. But the best thing about Secure Score is that it gives you a prioritized list of actions to improve it, showing you exactly where you're exposed and what to do about it. Conference season is in full swing and I’m grateful to be a part of it! There are so many great conversations around where the cyber industry is today and where we’re going! One thing is for certain: the IT and Security fundamentals are more important than ever. I had the opportunity to speak at Heartland Business Systems’ Secure Minnesota Conference around how a Security-minded Culture is exactly what’s needed to drive foundational security decisions, regardless of the industry! If you weren’t in person to hear the session, stay tuned, we’ll be putting on a webinar later in June to present this topic!

As we look back at Innovate Omaha last week, a first-year event that exceeded every expectation, we just want to thank everyone involved in making it such a success. The energy, the venue, the conversations were all top notch. And the people who showed up truly made it what it was. Thank you to everyone who attended. You gave your time to be there and engaged like you meant it. Thank you to our partners for joining us and allowing us to put on a fantastic day of learning and connection. To our panelists and presenters, you did the hard work of preparing and sharing your knowledge with all of us—thank you. And finally, thank you to the HBS team for everything each of you did to help everything run smoothly. We'll be back Omaha—see you there. Ever worked an entire day from the zoo? We did. We had an incredible time bringing together clients, partners, and technology leaders at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium for Innovate Omaha. It was a day of meaningful conversations and practical insights focused on cybersecurity, AI, and cloud strategy. A huge thank you to our clients and partners for helping make this such a successful event. And hosting it at the aquarium made the experience even more memorable. What a perfect night for Baseball! HBS and Zoom hosted a "Knock it Out of the Park with Zoom Phone" event at Arvest Ballpark to celebrate Rogers Public Schools completing their migration to Zoom Phone. Rogers Public Schools and other NWA K12 friends joined us for hot dogs, popcorn, and an Arkansas vs. Arkansas baseball showdown. Unfortunately, the Travelers dominated our home team Naturals but the night was a big hit 💥 ⚾ Special thanks to RPS Keln Taylor and Christopher Martinez for their partnership and huge shoutout to Megan Lozano for coming down to represent Zoom. If you need a phone partner who won't leave you stranded on base, Heartland Business Systems has you covered. Thanks again to all that made it out!

Ransomware…let's talk about it. Most organizations have some version of a ransomware prevention plan. Far fewer have a tested recovery plan. Obviously, prevention matters. But attackers are nothing if not persistent, and no environment is bulletproof. The organizations that get back online faster are the ones who have the right plans in place, the right tools, and the right partner. When Northern Engraving needed rapid incident response, HBS was there to help contain the threat, recover critical data and ultimately had manufacturing operations back within hours. The time to build recovery capability isn't during an incident. It's right now. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gvz3ST-G

Running IT in-house is expensive. It's also exhausting. HBS is hosting a Tech on Tap in Wichita on May 21. An afternoon built for business leaders who are ready to stop putting out fires and start getting ahead of them. We'll walk through how HBS Managed Services works, what it actually looks like to hand off day-to-day IT, and why the right partner changes everything. Then we'll close it out with happy hour and good conversation. 📍 The Depot | 711 E. Douglas Ave, Wichita, Kansas 📅 May 21 | 3:30 – 5:30 PM (CT) Register → https://lnkd.in/gRVkpE2i

Your security stack has 45 tools. Your team has one set of hands. That gap is too often where breaches happen. On May 20, HBS and Palo Alto Networks are hosting a live webinar on Strata Cloud Manager—the first AI-powered platform that brings SASE, hardware firewalls, and NGFWs under a single interface. No more swivel-chair management or configuration blind spots. In an hour, you'll see how organizations are cutting configuration time by 72% and reducing MTTR by 77%, and how AI-driven insights can flag network disruptions up to seven days before they hit. Managing a hybrid environment or planning a Panorama migration? This is a perfect place to start. Wednesday, May 20 | 10-11am (CT) Register here: https://lnkd.in/g2cKTByg Sean Griesheimer, CISSP GCIH
