Big news on the riverfront! The KC Streetcar Riverfront Extension is now open, connecting the River Market to Berkley Riverfront Park and expanding access to one of Kansas City's fastest-growing destinations. The new extension makes it easier to reach CPKC Stadium, home of the KC Current NWSL team, riverfront trails and nearby homes, while also strengthening connections across the city. We are proud to have supported this project through final design, construction support and startup testing. Congratulations to the City of Kansas City, MO, the Kansas City Streetcar Authority, Kansas City Area Transportation Authority and Port KC on the exciting new extension to the KC Streetcar line. Partnerships play a pivotal role in translating One Water principles into real-world practice. Our WRF research project, One Water Program Management, reframes program management through a One Water lens, with partnerships emerging as an essential driver of success. It explores how water utilities and agencies can identify, structure and sustain meaningful partnerships that contribute to more resilient outcomes and broader benefits. This includes collaboration with public and regulatory agencies, community and special-interest organizations, consultants, contractors and more. The study categorizes partnership types, examines a range of partnership models and offers practical guidance on engagement, trust-building, and formalizing agreements. The result? Programs that are more resilient and better positioned to deliver shared outcomes. Learn more at https://lnkd.in/gZjEbAw2, and watch for the full publication planned for release by the end of 2026.

Meet Breanna S., water/wastewater EIT in Reno, Nevada. Whether she’s training for a marathon or tackling complex infrastructure projects, Breanna approaches every challenge with the same mindset: becoming the best version of herself while helping others along the way. Born and raised in Nevada, Breanna pursued a career in water and wastewater engineering because she wanted to help provide communities with access to clean water. Since joining HDR, she’s found mentors, meaningful connections and opportunities that have pushed her beyond her comfort zone and helped shape her career. Now, she’s focused on paying that support forward by mentoring younger engineers, championing others and encouraging people to use their voices. “I’ve learned that you need to advocate for yourself and recognize that you do have a voice and can amplify yourself and others with it,” Breanna said. Turn your passion into a career at HDR. Discover your possibilities: https://lnkd.in/gFHkerYt #Careers #Hiring
