This role requires a specifically trained mechanic skilled in fire safety equipment and related components. The Fire Mechanic will be responsible for: 1. Performing all required installation, maintenance, repair, inspection, and testing of life safety equipment in accordance with applicable standards and requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and the Massachusetts State Building Life Safety Codes and/or established compliance requirements of the Authority Having Jurisdiction. 2. Interpreting and updating mechanical plans, drawings, and prints as necessary. 3. Assisting and advising customers on the progress and status of work, providing responsive and effective customer support in all phases of Facilities Services and building maintenance operations, including advising customers on maintenance solutions and providing follow-up on progress and status of work. Certificates and Licenses: 1. A valid Massachusetts Fire Alarm Class D Systems Installer License 2.
