In April, Lawrence Han joined a keynote panel at MX.0 Media's MX.0 Southeast in Greenville, SC, alongside leaders from GE Appliances, a Haier company, MKS Inc. Instruments, and CertainTeed. The conversation looked at the executive decisions that shape a real digital transformation. The calls leaders make along the way, and what those calls mean for the people running the plants. The leaders driving this work are doing some of the hardest, most important work in the economy. Keeping production moving, teams supported, and building the companies that will define the next era of manufacturing.

Helping the world's ten million factories reach sustainable peak performance
About us
Guidewheel is on a mission to empower all the world’s factories to reach sustainable peak performance. Inspired by the simple, universal truth that every machine on the factory floor has a power cord, our plug-and-play FactoryOps platform makes the power of the cloud accessible to any factory. Guidewheel clips onto any machine to turn its real-time “heartbeat” into a connected, actively learning system that empowers teams to reduce lost production time, increase throughput, and perform better and better over time. At Guidewheel we work with the factories that are the backbone of our economy, and you can have a real, on-the-ground impact right away. We have strong momentum and alignment around our mission, investor support, and a culture that values diversity, growth mindset, and results. A few weeks ago, Charlotte (Ward) Brodey took the stage at the Western Wood Products Association Annual Meeting in Vancouver, WA. The room was full of leaders running some of the most respected wood products operations in North America. The people keeping mills moving, jobs in towns, and an industry running strong. This is the moment for AI in manufacturing. Not the version that replaces the people on the floor, but the version that stands beside them. The version that takes what an operator already knows in their gut and gives them the data to act on it faster. The version that makes a great plant manager even better. That is the future we're building. And we're grateful for the opportunity to build with the leaders in that room. Thank you to WWPA for the platform, and to every leader who shared their plant floor stories with us.

We're proud that Maxwell Garrow is speaking on the panel "Challenges Implementing AI Solutions" today at the Apple Manufacturing Academy | MSU Spring Forum at Michigan State University! A huge thanks to Apple and Michigan State University for bringing together industry leaders, researchers, and many manufacturers to dig into how AI is reshaping the factory floor. If you're in East Lansing, come find us, we'd love to connect!

Last month, Lucas Goldman represented Guidewheel at MIT Sloan School of Management's Enterprise Management Hackathon, working through one of the questions our customers ask us every day. How do you build a manufacturing business that holds up when the world keeps changing? The answer Lucas brought into the room came from the operators we work with every day, the ones running real plants, making real calls, navigating real uncertainty. That's the part we love. Our team gets to take what manufacturers teach us and carry it into rooms like this, where the next generation of leaders is figuring out what comes next.

Renewable power isn’t just a “green” initiative—it’s becoming a core strategic input for industrial companies. U.S. steelmakers saw this early. As highlighted in the graphic below, producers across the industry have secured ~1.7 GW of renewable power through long-term agreements. These weren’t symbolic moves—they were deliberate decisions to: • Lock in long-term energy pricing • Hedge against volatility in power markets • Secure access to generation capacity ahead of rising demand • Reduce emissions intensity in a way that now carries real commercial value This is what real sustainability looks like—where operational strategy and environmental performance align. As power demand accelerates—driven by electrification, data centers, and AI—the importance of managing energy as a strategic input will only increase. At Greenway Steel, we work alongside our partners to help clients navigate this shift: • Through our partnership with Mobius Risk Group, we support energy procurement and risk management strategies that bring structure and discipline to power decisions • Through partnerships with Guidewheel and other technology providers, we help manufacturers drive operational efficiency and reduce energy intensity at the plant level Because true energy leadership isn’t just about sourcing power—it’s about how you procure it, how you manage it, and how efficiently you use it. If you’re thinking about how energy strategy impacts cost, competitiveness, and carbon—let’s connect. #Steel #Energy #Manufacturing #Sustainability #EnergyStrategy #Decarbonization #CBAM

The physical world isn't a footnote in the AI story. It's the main event. That was a through-line at #HumanX, and I heard it again and again this week in New York. I spent the last few days with PE operators and investors with industrial portfolios. Their obsession isn't frontier models. It's simpler, better tech for the plant managers, operators, maintenance teams. The teams keeping production running against the odds every single day. These are the teams building the things the rest of the economy depends on. They should be the ones defining what "AI in manufacturing" means. Sharing a short clip from HumanX on this. Grateful to the manufacturers we get to learn from every day and to the PE community in New York City this week behind the same belief: The best of what's coming in physical AI will be built 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 them, not 𝗳𝗼𝗿 them. Thanks Ted Sisko, Conner Jahn, Karen Gordon, Larisa Daberko, Jeff Bergstein, Stacey Weismiller, Trevor Ross, and so many others for the great conversations and learning.
