🎓⚡ Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week at Grant PUD! Behind every successful apprentice is a dedicated Journeyman. During apprenticeship training at Grant PUD, Journeymen play a critical role by mentoring, supervising, and guiding apprentices as they develop the skills needed to succeed in their trade. Grant PUD Journeymen receive specialized “Train the Trainer” instruction focused on adult learners and adult learning theory to ensure apprentices receive effective, supportive instruction. They supervise Related Supplemental Instruction (RSI) courses and work closely with apprentices on the job, providing guidance throughout at least 2,000 hours of hands-on training each year. Their knowledge, leadership, and commitment help shape the next generation of skilled professionals. We’re grateful for the time, expertise, and dedication our Journeymen bring to apprenticeship training every day. 👷♂️🔧📚 Learn About Apprenticeships at Grant https://lnkd.in/gdP94NVW #NationalApprenticeshipWeek #PoweringCareers #GrantPUD PublicAffairs#SkilledTrades

This week we are Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week at Grant PUD. Every skilled tradesperson started somewhere, and at Grant PUD, every one of our journeymen began their career as an apprentice. Some completed their training right here with us. Others came to Grant PUD after earning their journeyman status through apprenticeship programs elsewhere. Either way, they put in the years, the hours, and the hard work it takes to master their trade. Apprenticeships are the foundation of the trades. The path isn’t easy, and it takes commitment from both the apprentice and the journeymen who guide them along the way. This week, we’re recognizing every apprentice who has walked that path to become part of the Grant PUD team. We’re proud to have you here. Austin, we were very happy to have your participation and the participation of all of the panelists and exhibitors!
A little late to posting this, but better than never! Spent #EarthDay the right way at the Clean Energy Expo put together by the amazing folks at Chelan County PUD / Douglas County Public Utility District No 1 / Grant County Public Utility District. The event provided amazing networking opportunities, exposure for Northwest RiverPartners thanks to VICTOR VALERIO-MARIN, and a great opening presentation from Kurt Miller! I also had the privilege of joining a hydropower panel hosted by Andrew Munro, MBA with Shane Bickford. M.Sc. B.Sc., Brett Bickford, and Rich Flanigan. We had a great opportunity to connect with the audience about the values of hydropower and what the resource has brought to the mid-Columbia region and beyond. I can't stress enough how well put together this event was, and congratulate all of the people who worked hard behind the scenes to put it together!

Grant, Chelan and Douglas County PUDs could partner to explore the feasibility of geothermal energy as an alternative, clean resource to meet our region’s growing demand for electricity. The PUDs will review the proposal in the coming weeks to share the cost to study the geology and underground heat in Central Washington.
