I am very proud to share that Granite Construction’s North Airfield Exit Taxiways and Runway Rehabilitations project at LAX has earned The Baldwin Group Build America Award from the Associated General Contractors of America. This $159M project delivered four new high‑speed exit taxiways and rehabilitated two runways, while maintaining live operations on one of the busiest airfields in the world. Thanks to an incredible team effort, we finished early, under budget, with zero lost-time injuries, and significant sustainability wins. The recognition reflects #TeamGranite’s commitment to precision planning, safety, innovation, and collaboration. I truly appreciate everyone who contributed to making this project a success. Another Construction Safety Week in the books! It’s amazing to see our teams continue to get more involved and engaged in Safety Week every year. Last week, Granite Construction hosted its second signature event—at our CREATE P3 project in Chicago, IL—with a day of trainings and activities. Thanks to our more than 40 vendors and sponsors, our Midwest team, and everyone who made the event a huge success.
