The sun came out just in time for Bay Village City School District’s Grand Reveal event, celebrating the groundbreaking of the district-wide facilities improvement project. We joined school district officials and other dignitaries for the ceremony, which also unveiled the final renderings of improvements planned for four school buildings. Shook is serving as the construction manager for this multiphase initiative, which will enhance safety and modernize learning environments across two elementary schools, an early childcare center, and the high school. Work includes: 🔹 Improved entrances 🔹Interior renovations 🔹A new childcare center 🔹A renovated high school media center Special thanks to the project’s design partner, GPD Group; Bay Village City School District; and the community for their partnership in this exciting project, which will bring 21st-century learning environments to the city. #Education #Construction

On Tuesday, May 5, GPD had the pleasure of hosting Rate My Bridge Design: Columbus, a MIDAS‑sponsored, half‑day seminar for Ohio’s bridge engineering community. The event brought together ODOT representatives, experienced practitioners, and engineering firms for open discussion around bridge analysis, load rating, and structural deliverables using Midas Civil NX, with a focus on aligning software capability with real‑world agency practice. We appreciated the opportunity for our own Ruby NG, P.E. and Ng Davin to join presenters from ODOT and GFT, sharing how MIDAS has been used on some of GPD’s more complex bridge projects. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day a productive exchange of knowledge and experience.
