    WORST ADVICE EVER “It’s okay to demo on the discovery call.” Huge topic of debate. But we stand by this: Discovery deserves its own spotlight. The second you jump into a demo too early, the call shifts from understanding to pitching. And when you skip real discovery, reps default to feature-dumping instead of uncovering business pain. A great discovery call should answer one thing: Is there actually a problem worth solving here? Because not every prospect needs a demo. And not every deal deserves another meeting. Spend the full 30 minutes digging into pain, urgency, and impact. Then ask: “Who else on your team should join the next conversation?” Now the demo has context. Now it’s tailored. Now you’re selling a solution — not showing features. What’s your go-to discovery tactic?
