Golden 1 Credit Union employees showed up in a big way this April during our G1VE Volunteer Challenge! G1VE (Golden 1’s Volunteer Effort) empowers Golden 1 employees to support organizations aligned with our Social and Community Impact Pillars: Educational Attainment, Career Pathways, Youth and Young Adult Entrepreneurship, and Basic Needs. Through G1VE, employees receive eight hours of paid time to give back in the communities we serve. In April, our teams put that commitment into action, supporting families at the Ronald McDonald House in Fresno, bringing the Cherry Blossom Festival to life in San Francisco, planting trees in Sacramento, and teaching financial wellness at Grant Union High School in Del Paso Heights, where this team photo was taken. As of May 1, Golden 1 employees have contributed 1,210 volunteer hours in 2026, and there's more to come!

We officially launched Golden 1’s new statewide campaign — and how it was made matters as much as what you see. From the start, The 1 for You was built to reflect the people and places it represents. We filmed entirely in California, partnered with local talent, and supported California crews and small businesses every step of the way. Every scene comes from real life — real moments and real stories, shaped by and for the people who call this state home. At a time when many productions look elsewhere, choosing to invest here felt natural. It’s an extension of who we are as a credit union and how we show up for our communities — not just through what we offer, but through the choices we make. This is the credit union difference in action. And we’re proud of the teams and partners who brought it to life. The 1 for You made in California, for Californians.

Financial literacy starts long before the first paycheck. Since 2022, Golden 1 Credit Union has been partnered with Roberts Family Development Center (RFDC) to engage Grant Union High School students in monthly, after-school financial literacy workshops. Students learn everything from foundational banking knowledge to more advanced concepts like investing. To gamify what they’ve learned, we asked 10 of the students to take part in a financial literacy test. Watch the video below to see how it went!

This week, Golden 1 Credit Union was honored to join California State University-Sacramento for HER Table: A Leaders Luncheon — a powerful gathering centered on leadership, mentorship, and community. Our President & CEO, Donna Bland, delivered an inspiring keynote at this signature event hosted by the Women’s Resource Center, sharing her personal journey to the CEO role, the challenges she has navigated, and the mentors who helped shape her path. Her reflections, and the advice she shared with students and emerging professionals, were a meaningful reminder of the importance of confidence, preparation, and lifting others along the way. We're grateful to Sacramento State President Luke Wood, Vice President Aniesha Mitchell, and to the incredible teams from the Women’s Resource Center and Cultural Academic Resource Centers for hosting an event that brought together more than 300 students, faculty, staff, and community members. It was so great to hear the stories of all the panelists! And thank you to the Golden 1 team members who attended and represented our commitment to leadership, mentorship, and community connection. 💛💙
