About us
We Are Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts bring their dreams to life and work together to build a better world. Through programs from coast to coast, Girl Scouts of all backgrounds and abilities can be unapologetically themselves as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges—whether they want to climb to the top of a tree or the top of their class, lace up their boots for a hike or advocate for climate justice, or make their first best friends. Backed by trusted adult volunteers, mentors, and millions of alums, Girl Scouts lead the way as they find their voices and make changes that affect the issues most important to them. Congratulations to Gold Award Girl Scout Alexandra! 👔 👗 🧥 Through her Gold Award, Alexandra expanded access to clothing and career readiness resources for women and students, helping them feel confident and prepared for interviews, presentations, and key opportunities. She led a community-wide clothing drive and helped establish a Career Closet, providing attire, accessories, and essentials to support those entering or re-entering the workforce. With a focus on long-term impact, she also helped create dedicated spaces that ensure ongoing access to these resources, supporting future students and community members for years to come. Her work reflects the power of thoughtful leadership and community collaboration. By identifying a need and building a solution that lasts, Alexandra is creating meaningful change that will continue to open doors for others. 💚 Via: Girl Scouts of Suffolk County

✨ Introducing our new national brand awareness campaign: “Find What’s Within” ✨ Built on the powerful belief that every girl already has power within her, this campaign shines a light on what happens when that potential is seen, supported, and nurtured. In her own words, Moriah's story of leading, learning, and growing with confidence and joy through Girl Scouts represents a shared experience available to every girl. Now more than ever, girls need a place where they are encouraged to grow on their own terms, where their voices matter and where they can discover who they are meant to be. Ready to see what becomes possible when a girl is surrounded by support and belief? Together, we’ll find what’s within. 💚 https://lnkd.in/gZkzJ7At

The Girl Scouts Body Appreciation Program, co-developed with @meetflamingo is now award-winning. 💛 Last night, we were honored to receive a Gold Halo Award from @engageforgood for Best Mental or Physical Health Initiative. This recognition reflects what’s possible when girls’ well-being is at the center. Together with Flamingo, this program helps girls build a healthier, more confident relationship with their bodies by focusing on what their bodies can do. Through engaging, age-appropriate experiences, girls are building self-awareness, practicing self-care, and growing the confidence they need to navigate an increasingly complex world. Because when girls feel strong in their bodies, they carry that strength into every part of their lives. Here’s to continuing to create spaces where girls can thrive, together. Friday must-read. 👇
New data from Girl Scouts of the USA reveals that girls are afraid to become grown-ups in a world that’s changing faster than ever. And truthfully? I think most adults today understand where that fear comes from. The good news is our research also tells us that supportive role models can play a key role in reversing this generation’s concerns about growing up. That’s where Girl Scouts of the USA comes in. Through programming built specifically to grow with them, girls develop a strong sense of self, practical life skills, and the confidence to define success on their own terms. And when they’re encouraged by adults who prove that growing up still means being uniquely yourself, Girl Scouts can see just how bright their futures are. I love this piece by Girl Scout mom Ysolt Usigan for SheKnows. It’s true that raising a confident girl today comes with uncertainty. But when she’s backed by a supportive community of adults, she’s navigating the world around her with a trusted map. https://lnkd.in/ebhB-g8g
