AI shouldn’t just automate the process you have. It should help you build the process you actually want. Too often organizations ask me: “Where can we add AI to this workflow?” But the better question is: “If we designed this process today… would it even look like this?” Because automating a cumbersome workflow
just gets your team frustrated faster. The real opportunity with AI isn’t just incremental improvement. It’s rethinking the entire process
and then automating the best version of it step-by-step. This was a big theme during our roundtable discussion at ViVE 2026 Conference in Los Angeles last month, where I joined Jason Lafayette, Maximilian Maile, Kara Onorato, MBA and our moderator Vanessa Moldovan from Magical to talk about building better RCM automation. 109 registered operators for the event, sharing a lot of practical perspectives and QA on where automation actually works.
