⚡️ AI-scale compute moves at a speed the grid has never seen, and energy storage is the engine making it possible. Last week at #DTECH Data Centers & AI, Jeff Monday, our SVP & Chief Growth Officer, shared how storage is evolving into the power operating system of the AI economy. When compute workloads ramp up in seconds, the grid needs an intelligent, near-instantaneous layer to manage that demand. Here are the 4 key insights from Jeff's keynote on how we're building that future: 🔌 Matching compute speed: Providing the high-speed buffer required for AI workloads that ramp in seconds. 🔌 Scaling with BYOP: Using "Bring Your Own Power" as a strategic pillar for speed-to-market and reliability. 🔌 Creating grid-positive assets: Transforming data centers into flexibility assets that actively stabilize the utility. 🔌 A 20-year blueprint: Building a long-term infrastructure stack designed to scale and remain resilient for decades. A huge thank you to the DTECH team for a fantastic event and to everyone who stopped by our booth to keep the conversation going. Want to dive deeper into these insights? 💡 Introducing Energy Forward: A new LinkedIn newsletter from Fluence. The modern grid is evolving at breakneck speed. Between shifting grid needs and accelerating AI-driven data center demand, energy storage is becoming central to how we build resilient, flexible, and future-ready infrastructure. We created Energy Forward to provide a direct line to the experts building this future, offering deep dives into the trends, shifts, and innovations reshaping our industry. In our launch edition, we sit down with Pete Williams, SVP & Chief Product and Supply Chain Officer at Fluence, to explore what this pivotal moment means for the future of storage. Peter brings a perspective shaped by years in the semiconductor industry, where speed, scale, platform thinking, and supply chain alignment defined the companies that led. Today, he sees energy storage entering a remarkably similar era—one where standardized platforms, global supply ecosystems, and rapid innovation will determine what’s possible. This is the kind of thinking we’ll explore in Energy Forward. Read the full conversation below, and subscribe so you never miss what's next. #energystorage #batteries

⚡ Powering the next generation of computing takes more than capacity. It requires flexibility, speed, and new approaches to power. With data centers navigating more dynamic operating profiles and rapid changes in load, “bring your own power” strategies are quickly becoming the blueprint for interconnecting faster while supporting grid reliability. Our team is heading to DTECH Data Centers & AI in Scottsdale (May 12–14) to discuss this evolution. Stop by Tabletop 13 to chat about how storage is becoming the power operating system of the AI economy. While you are there, be sure to join our Chief Growth Officer, Jeff Monday, for his keynote panel: 🔌 Why Storage is the New Primary Grid Infrastructure 📅 Thursday, May 14 | 8:30 AM PT We look forward to seeing you there. #datacenters #energystorage #batteries #DTECH26

🤝 As hyperscalers rethink AI data center power infrastructure, we're helping them turn power into a competitive advantage. On today’s earnings call, we shared that our team has executed Master Supply Agreements with two major hyperscalers, reflecting successful qualification against some of the industry's most demanding technical and operational requirements. 💡 So, how are our energy storage solutions specifically solving the challenges of the AI era? To manage the highly dynamic power demands of scaling AI workloads, we enable load smoothing powered by Fluence OS. Proven via rigorous hardware-in-the-loop testing and PSCAD simulations, our advanced in-house controls technology absorbs rapid load swings to deliver consistent power, protecting compute performance and allowing data centers to scale efficiently. 🔋 Additionally, as energy density limits compute growth, our Smartstack™ technology delivers a crucial density advantage that unlocks more usable power on less land and helps power and compute infrastructure evolve together. As AI expands, power delivery will increasingly influence data center performance. We're excited to lead this shift and help our partners scale effectively. Not long ago, energy storage was viewed primarily through the lens of clean energy technology. Today, as our Chief Growth Officer Jeff Monday notes in a recent Bloomberg piece, it's something more fundamental: "Battery tech is now seen as building grid resilience." Global battery storage deployments are forecast to grow 33% in 2026 alone, driven by a confluence of factors: the explosive energy demand from data centers, increasing grid complexity, and a worldwide push for energy independence. From Australia—where batteries already outpace gas during evening peaks—to Texas and beyond, we see firsthand how energy storage is becoming indispensable. It stabilizes grids, manages price volatility, and provides the flexible capacity needed to power our future. We're proud to be at the center of this transformation, helping utilities, developers, and grid operators build the resilient, flexible infrastructure the modern energy system demands. 🔗 Read the full article to see how the battery boom is reshaping grids around the world: https://bloom.bg/41MPZvu #energystorage #batteries

In the race to power the AI era, the default answer always seems to be "build more." But as demand skyrockets, are we asking the right question? What if the solution isn't just about more generation, but about more intelligence? A new report from The Brattle Group and the Utilize Coalition suggests we're sitting on a massive, untapped resource. It found that we often use less than 50% of our grid's capacity. Just by using our existing grid more effectively, we could save American consumers a staggering $110-$170 billion over the next decade. This gets to the heart of what our President and CEO, Julian Nebreda, recently called the grid's real bottleneck: it’s not a shortage of energy, it’s a shortage of flexibility. This reframes the entire conversation. It’s no longer about a choice between renewables and thermal power, but about making them work together more intelligently. That’s the idea behind the “And” solution: combining energy storage with a diverse mix of generation to create the flexibility the grid actually needs. Storage acts as the key enabler, allowing us to absorb demand spikes, shift power to when it's needed most, and make every asset on the grid more valuable. It’s how our customers unlock the immense potential we already have. 🔐 With energy storage rapidly becoming the backbone of our global power grid, a critical question emerges: how do we secure this software-defined infrastructure for its entire lifespan? At Fluence, we believe the answer lies in treating cybersecurity not as a technical silo, but as a core business strategy driven from the executive level. Our SVP & Chief Enterprise Operations Officer, Roman Loosen, recently joined David White of Axio for the Nasdaq Center for Board Excellence "Boardroom Cyber Talks" series to discuss this very topic. In the clip below, Roman shares insights into his unique role in embedding cybersecurity into the very fabric of our business operations. He explains how our team connects the dots between customer needs and market insights to drive cyber-informed engineering, ensuring that security remains a primary business driver rather than a reactive afterthought. 🔗 Watch the full discussion to learn more about how we're securing the future of our grid: https://bit.ly/4ecFPeV #cybersecurity #energystorage #batteries
