Members of our Albany office recently volunteered at Saratoga Spa State Park for I Love My Park Day, a statewide community service partnership with Parks & Trails New York! Our team spent the day helping spruce up the park ahead of the busy summer season and supporting one of New York’s treasured public spaces. At Fisher Associates, giving back is part of who we are. We’re proud to share that the Marshall Hall Renovations project at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry has been honored with both an ASLA Honor Award for Built Design and the Green Ribbon Award for Climate Action by the New York Upstate Chapter of American Society of Landscape Architects. Constructed in 1933, Marshall Hall is home to SUNY ESF’s Department of Landscape Architecture and has long been a cornerstone of the campus. This transformation represents a meaningful step forward in removing longstanding physical barriers while preserving the building’s historic legacy. As the State University Construction Fund's first project to meet New York’s Deep Energy Retrofit goals, the LEED Gold-certified design sets a new standard for sustainable campus reinvestment. Just as importantly, it advances universal accessibility, supporting a more inclusive, equitable experience for students, faculty, and visitors. The result is a reimagined environment that fosters connection, reflection, and learning while strengthening long-term environmental resilience. We are proud to celebrate this recognition alongside our peers at the Upstate ASLA Awards Ceremony this April in Rochester, NY. The evening ceremony was a meaningful opportunity to gather as a team and reflect on the impact of thoughtful, purpose-driven design. Station Twelve is one step closer to opening day, with the final beam for Buildings A&B now in place. After years of planning and progress, this milestone marks real momentum for what will become a major open-air retail and lifestyle destination in Amherst. Fisher Associates has been involved from the ground up on this 30+ acre redevelopment, leading site design and infrastructure engineering and navigating complex utility, stormwater, and transportation challenges. Today, our team continues to support the project through active construction administration. The transformation is significant. A long-standing retail site is being reimagined into a modern destination with a mix of retail, dining, and community-focused spaces. With multiple tenants already announced and phased openings beginning later this year, the project is quickly coming to life.
