It was the decision-making that made it possible: ✅ The existing tower was oversized by 64% after chiller upgrades — a mismatch that drove unnecessary energy use and operational inefficiency. ✅ Right-sizing the new EVAPCO, Inc. What an amazing moment! Watch a 490-ton cooling tower hang 200 feet over Union Square. What you're seeing is the rooftop installation of a new Evapco cooling tower at The Victoria, a 506-unit co-op just off Union Square in Manhattan, a project managed by EN-POWER GROUP from initial assessments and system design all the way through to filing, permitting, and full installation management. For one morning, the entire block looked up. The lift required near-perfect coordination: crane operators, engineers, rigging crews, and building management all moving in sync to land heavy rooftop mechanical equipment onto a dense Manhattan building, safely. 🏙️ Most building owners know about Local Law 97, NYC's landmark energy compliance legislation, but many don't fully grasp what non-compliance actually costs. It's not just the fines. A building exceeding its emissions limit by 500 metric tons faces roughly $134,000/year in penalties. And that number only grows as limits tighten.
