Throughout his career, he has progressed through several positions, including Locate Technician, Lead Tech, Supervisor, building a strong operational foundation and leadership skillset along the way. When asked about this promotion, Mike shared that he is excited for the opportunity to work with a larger team and make an even greater impact across operations.   • ⚠️ Near Miss. Major Impact Avoided. Photo of the Month winner, Cade Matye of the Great Falls, Montana, team responded to a locate request involving the removal of a pedestrian bridge. The requestor originally planned to cut the exposed pipe at each end with a grinder — but made the smart decision to contact 811 first. During the locate, Cade identified the line as an ACTIVE 76 PSI gas pipe and documented the situation as a Near Miss. This is exactly why damage prevention matters. One call prevented a potentially dangerous incident and protected both people and infrastructure.
