Working at Elevate: Financial Consultant, Drake Wellborn 1. Why did you leave your previous career or choose this over another career path? I chose this career path because it offered an immediate opportunity for growth. Along with that, the fact that I am building my own book makes it that much more personal and pushes me to work harder for my clients.   2. Why did you choose financial planning specifically? I chose planning because of the fact that it combines the personal side of the business with the quantitative side. This allows me to have confidence in the work that I present to prospects and clients because I am part of every step of the process.  3. Why did you choose Elevate Financial Planning and Wealth Management? What stood out most, was the fact that everyone is here to support each other and see each other do well. When one person has something go their way, others seem to feed off that success as well. This is on top of the fact that I view the folks I work with not just as "coworkers" but good friends. 4. What do you love most about your work now? I like the fact that I can genuinely see people make progress toward their goals, and the fact that I get to be a small part of that is rewarding in itself. 5. What do you love about the team/culture at Elevate? I like that everyone is working toward the same goal of helping our clients gain a confident stance in the financial world, and is perfectly willing to help others achieve that same goal. 6. How has Elevate supported your growth? My Team Lead, Jack Dickerson, has been a monumental help in showing me how to do things in an effective manner as well as how to be a proficient resource for clients and prospects alike. 7. What would you say to someone considering this career? Anything worth doing is hard. It will be a lot of work in the. beginning, but it is very neat to see yourself progress in every area.
