Real-time data from connected devices, digital signatures, and behavioral signals is moving insurance from a periodic transaction to a continuous relationship. Telisa Yancy, Enterprise President at American Family Insurance, has been building toward that future from the inside for nearly two decades. She sat down with EDB’s Michael Gale on our podcast to give her read on where the industry is headed. The question of whether Kubernetes is ready for mission-critical databases has largely been answered by the organizations actually running them that way. What's left is the operational model—how you get there, what tooling you trust, and whether it holds under the kind of compliance and uptime pressure that a global bank operates under. CloudNativePG was built specifically for this: a Kubernetes-native PostgreSQL operator designed from the ground up to handle primary election, automated failover, replication, and configuration management without external dependencies or VM-era assumptions baked in. That one of the world's largest financial institutions is running production workloads on it is about as credible a proof point as the ecosystem has produced. PGConf.dev 🐘is in full swing. Community day opened with something this conference does better than most: turning the agenda over to the harder questions. Contributor burnout, onboarding, what keeps a 30-year-old project sustainable... the kind of sessions that don't produce benchmarks, but probably matter more in the long run. Today featured deep dives on pg_squeeze, query planning, internal data representation, and a lot of things getting worked out in hallways between sessions. Thirty years of PostgreSQL, and the people building the next thirty are all in the same building this week. There's nowhere else we'd rather be. More to come from Vancouver tomorrow! The infrastructure enterprises spent 2025 building is already showing cracks. RAG architectures designed for document retrieval don't hold at agentic scale. Single-method vector similarity isn't enough when production workloads require accuracy, access control, and context across systems simultaneously. EDB CTO Quais Taraki on what's breaking, why hyperscalers are already rebuilding their data stacks around agents instead of pipelines, and what the architectural answer actually looks like in CIO Dive: https://lnkd.in/gpswQxh6 #EDBPostgresAI #AgenticEnterprise #DataGovernance

Red Hat Developer Day lands in Aarhus on June 2nd, a full day of technical sessions on cloud-native development, platform engineering, and AI-augmented workflows. EDB is running a hands-on workshop with the Red Hat team from 2–4pm: step-by-step guided exercises on running EDB Postgres AI on OpenShift with CloudNativePG. The focus is the full Postgres lifecycle, deploying, managing, and scaling production-ready clusters in a cloud-native environment. If you're navigating the move from traditional database management toward something more sovereign and infrastructure-native, this is for you. Three things are driving enterprise data decisions right now: cost pressure, the need to move faster, and the growing urgency around data sovereignty. They used to feel like competing priorities. Control your data, or move at cloud speed. Cut costs, or maintain flexibility. Pick two. The convergence EDB is seeing with customers across regulated markets—financial services, healthcare, public sector—is that these aren't tradeoffs anymore. The platform architecture has caught up. Hybrid deployment, unified workloads, sovereign by design. See what that looks like on June 25th: https://lnkd.in/g33TSeMm Bryan Torocsik #EDBPostgresAI #AgenticEnterprise #DataSovereignty

Euronext FX runs the high-speed marketplace where banks, hedge funds, and institutional players trade spot FX, precious metals, and non-deliverable forwards around the clock. When their legacy data warehouse hit its limits, they moved to EDB Postgres AI for WarehousePG. Now they're building toward something bigger: 🔹 Real-time streaming analytics replacing batch processing 🔹 Conversational analytics that let business users query complex datasets in plain language — no data science expertise required 🔹 A full shift from matching engine to intelligent, data-driven trading ecosystem The foundation they're laying today is what makes that possible. Hear from Grigoriy Zeleniy, CTO of Euronext FX, on the infrastructure decisions behind the next era of electronic trading: https://lnkd.in/eirPsExT #EDBPostgresAI #DataWarehouse #FinTech

The class of 2026 is entering a workplace that's changing faster than most job descriptions can reflect. EDB CMO Michael Gale spoke with USA TODAY about what agentic AI means for the skills that hold their value, and how the most forward-looking enterprises are already thinking about the people they hire ➡️ https://lnkd.in/g6bP7R2s #EDBPostgresAI #AgenticEnterprise #FutureOfWork

How do you keep AI agents from going rogue—and what do you do when they already have? EDB CTO Quais Taraki and Rosalyn Curato, CIO & GM of Agentic Security at Vouched, cover exactly that on the latest InformationWeek podcast: real examples of agents acting outside their parameters, and the guardrails that actually work. The MIT Technology Review Insights report produced in partnership with EDB identified a 0.93 correlation between sovereignty commitment and positive AI outcomes—the strongest single driver across more than 500 variables. Organizations in the top tier are delivering 5x the ROI of their peers. As agents move into production, acting on live business data, often with minimal human oversight, that gap is becoming an operating reality, not a governance aspiration.
