Congratulations to ERG Research Analyst Sidney Toga, who completed the 2026 Boston Marathon in support of the Massachusetts General Hospital Pediatric Cancer Center. This was his second year running for the MGH team, and he raised more than $10,000 to support pediatric cancer care and research. We’re grateful to have colleagues who bring this level of dedication and determination to the communities they care about. #BostonMarathon #CommunityImpact

As we wrap up Drinking Water Week, we’re highlighting ERG’s work supporting Tribal water systems across EPA Region 6. This week, Brynn Goe, Grayson Shanley Barr, and Noah R. traveled to New Mexico support Pueblo of Laguna and Pueblo of Pojoaque projects that strengthen drinking water and clean water infrastructure. Brynn and Grayson are helping the Pueblo of Laguna develop a water loss audit, programmatic documents, and updates to operations and management and asset management materials. Noah is supporting the Pueblo of Pojoaque with potholing and service line identification to update their water system inventory. This work is part of a broader EPA technical assistance program that includes lead service line inventories and planning, emerging contaminant detection and treatment, community engagement, and compliance support. We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with these Pueblos to advance long‑term water system sustainability. #DrinkingWaterWeek #TribalWaterSystems #WaterInfrastructure

This Drinking Water Week, we’re excited to celebrate Linda Hills as the newest Vice President in ERG’s Drinking Water Group. Since joining ERG in 2018 as a senior engineer, Linda has been a driving force behind our growth in national and state drinking water and wastewater programs. She leads our efforts to deliver technical assistance and compliance support to small and Tribal drinking water systems across the country, help EPA and states assess and fund infrastructure needs, and solve regulated and emerging contaminant challenges across the country, including lead and PFAS. Linda directs some of our most complex and high‑impact water-focused projects, builds partnerships across the country, and has expanded ERG’s work with new clients and programs. We also recognize Linda’s dedication as a mentor and collaborator who invests deeply in supporting staff and building strong teams across ERG. Congratulations to Linda on this well‑deserved recognition! #DrinkingWaterWeek #DrinkingWater

We got some news 🎉 ! We completed the first draft of a US model that reconciles the best data and methods from USEEIO and CEDA-US 🇺🇸 . This is the child of two incredible teams getting together to produce the best EEIO model possible for the US. The outcomes are publicly available in our methods paper and accompanied by a v0.2 release in our bedrock repository on GitHub. These numbers are our first reconciled outputs but are not final - our ultimate goal remains to release a global model later this year, 📥 Methods paper: https://lnkd.in/g4GMfusE 🔬 v0.2 release note: https://lnkd.in/gXqeCrui Thank you: Wesley Ingwersen, Ben Young, Sarah Cashman, Michael Steffen Mo Li, Yohanna Maldonado Hankin, Sangwon Suh, Steve Davis, Brian Tobin, Catherine Birney and Jorge Vendries

As we continue to celebrate Drinking Water Week, we’re highlighting ERG’s continued focus on potable reuse. ERG is helping the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation explore opportunities for advanced treatment, source diversification, and long term water supply planning. We evaluate direct potable reuse pathways, conduct research, identify best practices, and support stakeholder engagement as communities consider new approaches to meeting future demand. We’re proud to support Tennessee in strengthening water security now and for future generations. #DrinkingWaterWeek #PotableReuse #WaterReuse

This Drinking Water Week, ERG is celebrating the people, science, and innovation that keep communities supplied with safe, reliable drinking water. Across the country, our teams support utilities, communities, regulators, and researchers in evaluating regulatory compliance, emerging contaminants, utility operations, and long-term planning in an uncertain water future. ERG is leading the way on the latest water topics, like microplastics, which EPA recently added to the Sixth Contaminant Candidate list. To learn more, join us at the American Water Works Association's Annual Conference and Exposition on June 24, where ERG’s Sara Willis-Hilbrich will co-facilitate a session with Sydney Samples hosted by The Water Research Foundation (WRF) on "Tiny Particles, Big Questions: Setting a Microplastics Research Agenda." This session will share the state of the science and utility perspectives from WRF Project 5318, a forum on microplastics research to foster increased collaboration and coordination among researchers, and identify microplastics research needs. Stay tuned throughout Drinking Water Week as we highlight more ERG work supporting safe, sustainable drinking water systems. #DrinkingWaterWeek #ACE2026 #AWWA #Microplastics
