In the late 1950s, artist and designer Harry Bertoia discovered the musicality of metal, and was inspired to weld sculptures that rang out and resonated when touched. This limited-edition Dandelion Sculpture comes from that period, originally exhibited at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York. The Harry Bertoia Foundation has faithfully reproduced the shimmering stainless steel sculpture in a limited quantity of 50, each individually numbered and stamped for authenticity. “When I buy a product, I obsess over it,” Hlynur Atlason (ATLASON) says. The Icelandic designer works the same way – constantly observing, constantly cataloging.
