SAFETY – a Danos value During a job involving multiple tasks under a single permit, Production Operator Chris Fortenberry identified a potential risk and made the decision to stop work. He then ensured that a separate permit and lockout/tagout (LOTO) were issued for one of the major tasks, helping create clearer controls and safer execution. Holding the Line on Bayou Lafourche Volunteers from Shell, Natrx, Restore Retreat, the South Lafourche Levee District, and Danos teamed up to help restore 700 feet of shoreline—planting smooth cordgrass alongside Exoform structures designed for long-term durability. Built to take on wave energy and support new habitat, these structures create the conditions for vegetation to establish and thrive. As the cordgrass grows in, it captures sediment—helping the shoreline strengthen naturally over time. Big thanks to Natrx for the final edit.
