Our Kettering team thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with the students of University of Detroit Mercy and our friends at MichAuto. Thanks to Carly, Emily, and Suzanne for organizing such a great event.
One of my favorite parts of the job. Yesterday, we hosted students from University of Detroit Mercy with MichAuto at our facility in Detroit. I had the chance to walk through our brand story, what we are building at Emotiv Mobility and Dakkota Integrated Systems, and how careers in manufacturing can have a real impact. From engineering and supply chain to operations and IT, there are so many ways to contribute to this industry.

Love to hear it Abiy! Kudos to the team. Keep up the amazing work!
What an amazing way to kick off the New Year with a VSM event at one of our opportunity plant, where we’re really focusing on meeting our commitment to our customer! We had our vice-Chairwoman and other Sr. Leaders from our CP program join us for the 2.5days kaizen event. It’s always a joy when Sr. Leaders are out at Gemba, really listening and seeing the amazing work our team is doing everyday dispite all the challenges. When we observe conditions that don’t align to our vision and mission like waste, it’s a real eye-opener. Now that we’ve seen it, let’s take action and make sure gaps are addressed and backsliding is impossible without warning alarms going off. Our people and customers deserve it, and it’s our job to make sure that happens. I’m so thankful to everyone who participated in the event, and now let’s get to work to keep our promise to our team members and our customers. Again, I truly appreciate the full support of our CEO and Vice Chairwoman for giving us the full backing to build this culture that will drive our growth into the future. Let the hard work begin to journey into future state over the next 90 days.
