Getting material handling equipment (MHE) wrong in biopharma can come at a high cost: missed production targets, unnecessary wait times, and systems that never fully deliver on their promise. That’s why planning an MHE or robotics investment shouldn’t stop at equipment selection. Using data‑driven simulations allows teams to test fleet size, routes, interactions, and capacity before capital is spent, reducing risk and strengthening ROI. Simulations ensure that MHE systems are sized correctly, integrated effectively, and designed for real‑world operating conditions. The cost of upfront analysis is often far lower than the cost of correcting an underperforming system later. If you want confidence that your robotics investment will meet expectations, simulations should be part of the plan. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gGN3KNmm

Pharmaceutical manufacturing has entered the digital age. But are the results keeping pace with the investment? On May 27, CRB’s Ryan Thompson will be among the featured speakers for a Pharma Manufacturing webinar exploring how Pharma 4.0 is moving from concept to real‑world impact. The conversation will cover practical applications of digital twins, real‑time analytics, and AI – technologies helping manufacturers identify bottlenecks, improve process performance, and reduce risk before it affects production. With two decades of manufacturing and digital transformation experience, Ryan brings a practical, systems‑level view of how automation can be implemented in ways that scale and deliver measurable value. If you’re thinking about how to move from aspiration to execution in pharma manufacturing, this is a conversation worth joining. Sign up here: https://lnkd.in/gfmf_QfZ

Food safety remains one of the most pressing challenges facing manufacturers today—made harder by tight margins, rising expectations, and complex operations. Today CRB launches our new Horizons: Food Safety report, offering a clear, data-driven look at how leaders are navigating that reality and where pressure is mounting across the industry. One striking takeaway: 4 in 10 respondents say insufficient budget is a barrier to making needed food safety investments. That tension between risk, responsibility, and resources is shaping decisions every day on the plant floor and in the boardroom. The report explores what’s driving those challenges and highlights practical strategies manufacturers are using to protect safety, maintain compliance, and keep moving forward. If food safety is part of your responsibility, this report is worth your time. Robotics doesn’t replace people. It changes the work. 🤖 In part 2 of their INTERPHEX Global interview with PharmTech (Pharmaceutical Technology), CRB experts Todd Vaughn and Christa Myers focus on what robotics in aseptic manufacturing means for operations teams. The discussion focuses on operational realities like environmental monitoring, repeatability, and the skills required to support more advanced systems. They also address how teams are balancing rising regulatory expectations with what’s practical for new and existing facilities. 📖 Check out part 2 of the interview: https://lnkd.in/epuWBXEe 👀 If you missed it, part 1 explores why robotics in the aseptic core is gaining urgency: https://lnkd.in/eQmfBQYv #AsepticManufacturing #PharmaEngineering #Robotics #Automation #INTERPHEX Christopher Cole

If your lab layout is fighting your science, it might be time to rethink the lab planning module. Lab Design News just published a recap of Mark Paskanik, AIA’s session, “Beyond Casework: Designing High-Performance Lab Environments,” from the Casework & Furniture Digital Conference. The review highlights practical design choices that can make labs safer, more efficient, and easier to adapt, starting with the planning module and circulation strategies like a perimeter “ghost corridor.” The best lab designs come from practical choices that match how teams actually work. 👉 Read the article and watch the on-demand webinar here: https://lnkd.in/e2EXrEY4 #LabDesign #LifeSciences #LaboratoryPlanning #ResearchFacilities #ArchitectureAndEngineering

At the GENAP Summit 2026 in Vienna, the CRB team was energized by lively conversations about real challenges and how to solve them. 🎤 Estapé David shared a practical approach to Annex 1, challenging the idea that compliance means chasing “zero risk.” Instead, he focused on making sound, defensible decisions that hold up in practice. Thank you for the thoughtful dialogue and ideas from everyone who joined the conversation. 📍 #Annex1 #AsepticProcessing #GMP #SterilityAssurance #LifeSciences BioTech Pharma Summit

Food safety is under growing pressure. Shorter product life cycles, persistent labor challenges, evolving regulations, and rising consumer expectations are influencing how manufacturers evaluate risk, resources, and long‑term performance—often with less margin for error than ever before. In our upcoming Horizons: Food Safety report, we take a data-driven look at the challenges reshaping the industry and the practical responses emerging in real facilities today. From designing hygienic safety into constrained plants to making deliberate, sequential changes in operations and processing, the report highlights where risks are rising and where opportunity still exists. The report goes live May 19. Sign up today to get your copy on day one: https://lnkd.in/ghheZ97r #FoodSafety #Recalls #FoodandBeverage #FacilityDesign

Aseptic processing has changed a lot over the last few decades. The expectations for risk control, clarity, and consistency have changed too. In a recent Pharmaceutical Online article, CRB expert Christa Myers shared perspective from a panel at the ISPE Aseptic Conference on what’s driving aseptic evolution and what it takes to keep up. A few themes surfaced: 🧠 Clear understanding across teams matters as much as technical depth 🔍 Data and root-cause analysis are essential to managing risk ✅ Legacy systems still need practical, risk-based justification 👉 A practical read for sterile manufacturing and quality teams here: https://lnkd.in/euDCBtjc #AsepticProcessing #SterileManufacturing #LifeSciences #RiskManagement
