In honor of #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, in her latest Fast Company article, Show Director Dana Wuesthoff explores what strong jobsite leadership looks like: creating cultures where mental health is treated with the same urgency and accountability as physical safety. Through our partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, we’re helping drive industry-wide conversations around mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and leadership that protects the whole workforce. Busy schedules and full crews don’t always translate to real growth. Many contractors are running hard but still hitting the same issues: inconsistent estimating, reactive financial decisions, leadership bottlenecks, and uneven execution. As Brittany Auman puts it, “Busy doesn’t equal growth.” This article breaks down where businesses tend to stall — and how stronger systems in finance, leadership, team alignment, and estimating can make growth more predictable. 👉 Read the full article here: https://bit.ly/4cX0liU Featuring: Brittany Auman, Owner of Auman Landscape, Alicia Brentzel, Owner of Brex Enterprises.

You never see it coming, until it’s too late. Falls remain one of the leading causes of serious injuries in construction. During this Safety Stand-Down Week, take time to pause work and remind everyone about fall prevention on the jobsite. Here's some tips for an effective conversation: ✔️ Make it specific to today’s work. Call out the fall hazards tied to the tasks happening right now (not generic reminders). ✔️ Do a quick toolbox talk. Keep it short, focused, and crew-led so it feels real—not like a lecture. Turn it into a two-way conversation. Ask workers what hazards they see and what would make the task safer—Stand Down is meant to open that dialogue. ✔️ Pair talk with action. Use the pause to do a fast safety activity: a demo, a spot check, or an inspection of equipment. ✔️ Reinforce the expectation. “If something’s off, we stop and fix it.” Clear, consistent, and easy to repeat. #StandDown4Safety
