Circle Logistics was founded in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 2011 by Eric Fortmeyer and Chad Buchanan. Fifteen years later, we're a privately held 3PL moving roughly 33,000 loads a month across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, with an asset-based fleet, a vetted carrier network, and branches across the country. We've grown without losing the part that mattered most at the beginning: when something is on the line, a real person picks up the phone. For shippers. We move freight across every major mode (dry van, reefer, flatbed, expedite, oversize, auto, bulk, LTL, and air) for customers ranging from family-owned manufacturers to Fortune 500 supply chains. Our work is built on three commitments we make on every load: No Fail Service, Personalized Communication, and Innovative Solutions. No Fail Service means we own the load from tender to delivery and solve problems rather than explain them. Personalized Communication means a named point of contact who knows your freight. I heard someone recently talking about how much they dislike their HR team, and honestly, it made me appreciate ours even more. A lot of people view HR as “the company police”... there to protect the business no matter what. And yes, part of HR’s job is protecting the company. But the best HR teams understand that protecting the company also means supporting the people who make it successful. That’s exactly what I’ve seen at Circle Logistics. Our HR team consistently works to make Circle a better place for employees while still doing what’s right for the business. They advocate for people. They listen. They step in when needed. I’ve personally seen situations where leadership was ready to move on from an employee, and HR took the time to say, “Wait a minute... let’s figure this out first.” Sometimes people just need support, coaching, or another opportunity to succeed. That kind of balance is rare. I’m genuinely proud to work alongside a team that cares about both accountability and people. Not many employees can honestly say they trust and appreciate their HR department... but I definitely can.
