Crab Meat Update 🦀: Following NOAA’s May 11 MMPA review, the Philippines Swimming Crab fishery was ruled not comparable, prohibiting imports from June 11. In contrast, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka were deemed comparable, avoiding broader industry disruption. The U.S. market is expected to lose approximately 20% of its imported supply due to the Venezuela ban, which took effect on January 1. This reduction comes as market prices have already been trending upward for more than a year, and we expect the loss to further pressure raw material availability and pricing across the remaining regions. At Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods, we are closely monitoring these shifts to help our partners navigate a tightening market with expert insights and reliable solutions. #ChickenoftheSeaFrozenFoods #ThaiUnion #Crab #CrabMeat #Seafood #MarketUpdate

Welcome to Hotel California! It has been thirty years since I checked into a hotel in LA, so it was nice to be back in California last week spending time with our Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods team in El Segundo with COSFF President Paul Herholz and HRBP Niran Yoongam As the team immersed me in their business strategies and 2026 growth opportunities - my ask was very clear "tell me exactly what you need from HR to unlock your full potential" as organizations don’t perform - people do, and when your people thrive, so does your business. As CHRO at Thai Union Group PCL. it is critical I spend quality time with our BUs around the world understanding what our leader's need, (not what HR thinks they need!), as only then can the team and I build a people strategy that lifts culture, capability and performance at scale - turning people potential into business outcomes. Special thanks to Daniel Halford, Bryan Rosenberg, Angela Schoppe, PHR, Ann Ochiltree, Blake Stok. Trin T. Michael Richards, Drew Watts, Jim Livingston, Jiab Aroonpairoj, Jan Szymnau, AZNIV SHIRINYAN CPA, Henry DelaLlana Patty Essick, Ignatius Dharma and Jha Schenk for a wonderful few days, I left enlightened, energized and looking forward to partnering for growth together. Now for a week of the dreaded US-Asia jetlag :) #TeamCOSFF #OneThaiUnion #HR #PeopleStrategyGoesGlobal #USVisit

"Girl Dinner" is evolving from social media trend to major market shift. Technomic, Inc. reports that 46% of consumers usually skip at least one meal a day or replace it with snacks. This appetite for snackable nutrition is being accelerated by the rise of GLP-1 medications. The National Frozen and Refrigerated Foods Association, Inc. reports that 78% of users are eating smaller portions since starting the medication, and 46% say high-protein content makes them more likely to purchase a frozen food product. Our 3oz Shrimp Cocktail Tray is the ideal fit: a nutrient-dense, perfectly portioned snack for those who want high-quality, low-fat protein without a heavy meal commitment. Featuring plump, tail-on shrimp and bold sauce options like Dynamite or Cilantro Lime, this ready-to-serve classic delivers premium flavor with minimal prep. Stay ahead of the snack-dinner trend with Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods’ premium expertise. > https://lnkd.in/d7QgzetG #ChickenoftheSeaFrozenFoods #ThaiUnion #GLP1 #Seafood #Protein #SnackingTrends

Few species sit more directly at the intersection of food security, livelihoods, and ocean health than tuna. That’s what makes #WorldTunaDay each year a story of both progress and unfinished responsibility. The good news: there is real and positive momentum. According to the latest data from the International Seafood Sustainability Foundation, 97% of global tuna catch in 2024 came from healthy stocks, and nearly 100% came from stocks not experiencing overfishing. That marks real progress from 2017, when the UN estimates that only 75% of tuna catch came from healthy stocks free of overfishing. At Thai Union, our Tuna Commitment focuses on driving practical change across both ocean health and fisher welfare. Here is what that looks like so far: ✅99% of our tuna comes from fisheries that are MSC-certified, in assessment, or in credible improvement programs. ✅ 97% of our tuna catch comes from vessels with on-the-water monitoring, strengthening transparency and accountability at sea. ✅ 100% of our suppliers in the tuna supply chain meet ISSF conservation measures. No single company can solve these issues alone. Continued progress depends on science, strong fisheries management, and collaboration across organizations within the supply chain. See how our SeaChange® 2030 sustainability strategy is helping protect tuna stocks, strengthen traceability, and support the people behind the industry: https://lnkd.in/dvYaEpgr #ThaiUnion #SeaChange2030 #WorldTunaDay #Sustainability #HealthyLivingHealthyOceans #SeafoodIndustry

Each Earth Day is a reminder that protecting ocean ecosystems takes real, practical action and collective effort. Today, Thai Union, including our U.S. companies Chicken of the Sea and Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods, is announcing that it’s joined the Protecting Blue Whales and Blue Skies Program to support more responsible shipping practices in North America. Along the U.S. West Coast, some of the world’s busiest shipping lanes overlap directly with critical habitats for endangered whales. Ship strikes are one of the most significant threats facing whales and other marine life, while also contributing to air pollution and underwater noise that can disrupt ocean ecosystems. Through vessel speed reduction in high‑risk areas, the program helps: 🐋 Reduce the risk of ship strikes affecting endangered whale species. 🌫️ Lower air emissions associated with shipping activity. 🔊 Decrease underwater noise that can interfere with how marine life communicates and navigates. As a global seafood company with complex supply chains, partnerships like this reflect Thai Union’s wider commitment to supporting responsible ocean shipping, protecting at‑risk marine life, and reducing environmental impacts linked to global trade. This partnership is one example of how targeted, collaborative action can help protect marine life and support healthier oceans every day. #EarthDay #ThaiUnion #Sustainability #HealthyLivingHealthyOceans #BlueWhalesAndBlueSkies
