May 8 is Military Spouse Appreciation Day, and it is one I support deeply, personally, and proudly. As the wife of a United States Marine, that experience has shaped my own leadership journey in profound ways. When someone in uniform is called to serve, their spouse serves too. Spouses keep day-to-day life running. Often times it can mean navigating major life moments alone, from bringing new life into the world without a partner by your side to making big decisions like buying a home or relocating a family. These are quiet sacrifices that rarely get recognized, but they matter. And in meeting those moments, military spouses demonstrate the very qualities that define their own service to country and family: resilience, flexibility, and a mission-minded approach to whatever comes next. We solve problems on the fly, adapt to constant change, and keep families and careers moving forward. That is why I am proud that Chevron was recently recognized by U.S. Veterans Magazine as a 2026 Top MilSpouse Employer. You can learn more here: https://lnkd.in/ghYUSfAw.  I was reminded of the impact military spouses make in a recent conversation with Julia Achee and Dapheney Bryant, and how the perspective they bring strengthens Chevron every day. So today and everyday: thank that person in your life whose spouse is serving or has served in the military and be someone who offers support to them while their partners are away on active duty or returning home.

Last week, I was honored to receive the Distinguished Business Leadership Award from the Atlantic Council, and I did so on behalf of the people at Chevron. Leadership isn’t about a title or an award. It’s about responsibility, trust, and the teams who show up every day, often in uncertain and complex conditions, to do the right work, the right way. I could not be prouder of what our employees around the world accomplish, and this recognition truly belongs to them. In a world that is more connected, and more contested, than ever before, institutions like the Atlantic Council matter. They convene when others divide, clarify when others confuse, and help turn insight into impact through partnership. I’m grateful for their leadership and for the opportunity to stand alongside fellow honorees committed to strengthening global cooperation. Thank you to the Atlantic Council for this honor and thank you to the Chevron team for the work they do every day to deliver affordable, reliable energy and enable progress around the world.
