How schools build strong relationships and how they respond when challenges arise matters. On March 23, 2026, Tinuke Copla, CCSD Coordinator of Student Culture and Belonging, hosted a webinar, Restorative Practices 101: Building Strong Relationships at Home and School. The session offers a clear look at how restorative practices help strengthen community, reduce conflict and support students both in and out of the classroom. ➡️ Watch the full webinar to learn more: https://lnkd.in/epqqwKWZ

Elementary students across Chappaqua Central School District recently took part in the annual Coding Carnival, where third and fourth graders explored new ways to build and test their coding skills. Working with Apple Professional Learning Specialist Hovan, students expanded on their experience with CodeMonkey and were introduced to Swift Playgrounds and Spiral Playground—experimenting with sequences, patterns and small adjustments that led to noticeably different outcomes. The event also brought teachers and the district’s technology team into the learning, strengthening how coding is supported across classrooms. Careers don’t follow a straight line—and that’s exactly what Bell and Seven Bridges 8th graders explored during Career Day. Through small-group conversations with 20 professionals across industries, students heard real stories about unexpected paths, evolving roles and the skills that matter most—like adaptability, problem-solving and communication. One takeaway stood out: many of today’s careers didn’t even exist when these professionals were in school. 🔗 Read more: https://bit.ly/4t0uwuF #WeAreChappaqua #CareerDay #FutureReady

What does it mean to bear witness to history as a student? At Horace Greeley High School, tenth graders recently spent a full school day doing just that during All Night in a Day, an immersive program centered on a collective reading of Night by Elie Wiesel. Organized by the English and Social Studies departments, the experience invited students to approach the book not only as readers but as members of a learning community. Throughout the day, students moved through a series of stations that added historical context and encouraged reflection. They examined how ordinary citizens responded to persecution during the Holocaust, explored concentration camp sites through a virtual field trip and engaged with recorded testimony from Holocaust survivors through the USC Shoah Foundation iWitness program. A powerful moment came when Holocaust survivor Leo Ullman shared his personal story of hiding as a child in occupied Amsterdam. Student musicians also performed pieces including “Theme from Schindler’s List” and “Clair de Lune,” creating space for reflection as students documented their thoughts in journals. The experience left a lasting impression on many students. As one student shared, “This day was very moving and one of my favorite high school experiences.” Read the full story to learn more about this meaningful day of learning, reflection and remembrance. #HolocaustEducation #StudentLearning #WeAreChappaqua https://lnkd.in/e8Fj_rvJ

Strong preparation and thoughtful debate led to an impressive showing for Horace Greeley High School’s Model UN Club at the GCMUN Conference. Greeley students earned the Best Medium-Sized High School Delegation award at the Global Citizens Model United Nations conference, held at the United Nations and the Sheraton Hotel in New York City. During the conference, students joined peers from schools across the globe to debate international issues and present resolutions in committee sessions. Months of preparation went into the experience, including writing position papers, drafting resolutions and practicing parliamentary procedure. Four Greeley delegates were selected to present their resolutions during the closing plenary session, speaking before more than 2,000 chairs, guests and fellow delegates. In addition, fourteen students received Outstanding Delegate honors across five committees. Advisers noted that the delegation’s preparation, collaboration and professionalism were evident throughout the weekend. Congratulations to the students whose hard work and commitment made this recognition possible. #ModelUN #StudentLeadership #WeAreChappaqua https://lnkd.in/ep6c5cQQ
