The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has released its 2026 hospital star ratings, the most widely recognized national measure of hospital quality. The ratings evaluate more than 2,000 hospitals across the country on mortality, safety, readmissions, patient experience and timely and effective care. I am proud to share that the hospitals of Cedars-Sinai Health System performed exceptionally well. Cedars-Sinai Medical Center earned a five-star rating for the ninth consecutive year. Torrance Memorial Medical Center also earned five stars, advancing from four stars last year. Together, they join the 12.5% of hospitals nationwide to achieve this highest distinction. Cedars-Sinai Marina Hospital earned a four-star rating for the third year in a row, and Huntington Hospital showed strong improvement across every major area measured. These results reflect the daily work of teams across our health system who have focused on lowering readmission rates, reducing hospital-associated infections and improving patient experience. My thanks to every physician, nurse and staff member whose commitment to safe, high-quality care made this possible. This recognition belongs to them and to the patients and families who place their trust in us.
