Most industrial casters are not built to withstand the heat inside a glass plant. In heat-intensive applications, the wrong casters can lead to bearings that lock up, melted grease, wheel damage, corrosion, product streaking or scratching, and safety concerns. To keep your racks, carts, and glass panels moving through heat soak testing, autoclaves, and near furnace openings, you must account for factors like thermal expansion, high-pressure steam, and debris. That is where a Caster Needs Eval can help identify the right mobility solution for every part of production. Our Caster Nerds assess each step of your production process before recommending caster specifications like wheel material, brake type, swivel raceway design, and more. 👉 Read the full article to learn more about sourcing high-heat casters for glass manufacturing: https://lnkd.in/ePum_aMS #GlassManufacturing #HeatSoakTesting #AutomotiveGlass

Micro-scratches on glass are small but they can leave a huge mark on your yield. In many cases, the issue starts during handling, when heavy glass moves across tables, conveyors, or inspection stations. Inverted caster tables are designed to help reduce dragging and friction at these points. But if the tread is too hard, the swivel is unreliable, or debris gets trapped in the raceway, the table can still create the scratch risk you were trying to avoid. 👉 Read the full blog to learn what to look for when sourcing or replacing casters for your glass handling tables: https://lnkd.in/ekwEhYYu #GlassManufacturing #AutomotiveGlass #ArchitecturalGlass

July shutdowns can put a lot of pressure on maintenance teams. Equipment needs to be moved, inspected, cleaned, repaired, upgraded, and put back into service on schedule. Few things disrupt that flow faster than worn-out casters that should have been replaced before shutdown started. That is why May is the right time to evaluate your caster needs. Ordering ahead gives your team time to: • Identify worn or failing casters • Confirm the right wheel and yoke specs • Receive replacement components before shutdown • Avoid rushed decisions when maintenance is already underway • Help equipment get back into service on schedule Shutdown planning works best when the small but critical components are handled early. 👉 Learn more about caster planning for shutdown season: https://lnkd.in/eUFU_Y_f #ManufacturingMaintenance #AutomotiveManufacturing #PlantMaintenance

Data center construction moves fast, but your deployment timeline can hit a wall if your casters aren't built to move or stabilize heavy infrastructure. Beyond just stalling an installation, the wrong wheels can put expensive equipment at risk. Factors like load capacity, ergonomics, and ESD protection are vital to your project's productivity, safety, and overall success. Our latest blog breaks down how to choose casters that meet the growing demands of modern data center infrastructure. 👉 Read the article: https://lnkd.in/eWCzTQTg #DataCenterLogistics #Hyperscale #DataCenterConstruction

Data center construction gets more complex as projects scale. As equipment gets heavier and timelines tighten, even small inefficiencies in how equipment moves can start to slow down installation without it being obvious at first. In many cases, it comes down to the casters. It takes longer to get equipment into place, installation slows down, and delays carry through the rest of the project. This article looks at where these issues come from and how they affect timelines, safety, and uptime: https://lnkd.in/d4fz8b3i #DataCenterConstruction #MaterialHandling #IndustrialEngineering

Scaling data center manufacturing exposes problems you don’t see at lower volume. One of them is how equipment moves. When things get heavier and movement increases, standard casters can start to slow everything down without it being obvious right away. Equipment takes more effort to move, positioning slows down, and small delays start adding up. At that point, it's not really a process issue. It's an equipment problem. 👉 How Custom Mobility Solutions Help Data Center Manufacturers Scale Faster: https://lnkd.in/dm7ZDq8w #DataCenter #Manufacturing #ServerRacks

Moving data center equipment is not always straightforward. Clearance, weight, floor conditions, and maneuverability all play a role. What works for a server rack in a tight aisle is not the same as what works for a load bank or a battery cabinet. That is where caster selection tends to get overlooked. A caster that works in one setup can create problems in another. We cover common data center applications and the caster solutions that work for each. 👉 Read the full guide: https://lnkd.in/e9uZAaKZ #DataCenter #MaterialHandling #ESDProtection
