En el Centro de Bienestar, honramos y celebramos junto a cada una de nuestras madres el amor, la fortaleza y la sabiduría que han compartido a lo largo de sus vidas. Sus historias, sus sacrificios y sus cuidados han forjado familias, comunidades y generaciones enteras. La maternidad se manifiesta de muchas formas, y cada una de ellas ha tocado vidas de maneras significativas y perdurables: ya sea como madres, abuelas, cuidadoras, mentoras o modelos a seguir llenos de amor. The Adult Wellness Center proudly celebrates and honors all the mothers in our community, recognizing the love, strength, and wisdom they have shared throughout their lives. Their stories, sacrifices, and compassion have helped shape families, strengthen communities, and inspire generations. Motherhood takes many forms, and each one leaves a meaningful and lasting impact — whether as moms, grandmothers, caregivers, mentors, or cherished role models. We thank them for their kindness, resilience, and the beautiful legacy they continue to build. During our celebration, every participant felt valued, appreciated, and surrounded by warmth and joy. Casa Central was proud to stand alongside Allies United—an intersectional, multiracial, and multi-faith coalition of Illinois organizations working together to defend our shared rights and collective future. The Allies United Breakfast was held at the Chicago Urban League, where we were graciously welcomed by President & CEO Karen Freeman-Wilson. The program featured powerful speakers, including Marty Castro, Casa Central’s President & CEO, who shared insights on the rights of our communities, the 14th Amendment, and the importance of protecting birthright citizenship. At Casa Central, we believe deeply in the power of community collaboration. It was energizing to come together in a shared mission to protect and uplift our diverse communities. Thank you to the Chicago Urban League for hosting and to all the speakers who shared their expertise, experiences, and stories. We are truly stronger together.
