Severe bleeding is the leading cause of preventable death after trauma, but with the right tools and training, lives can be saved. Our What You Need to Stop the Bleed® guide breaks down how bleeding control kits work, how they differ from first aid kits, and where they should be placed across workplaces, schools, and public spaces. It also outlines best practices for recognizing life‑threatening bleeding and acting quickly until professional help arrives. We created this resource to help organizations and individuals take practical, life‑saving steps before an emergency happens. Training on a female manikin matters. Most CPR training manikins do not represent women, causing training bias before an emergency happens. Only 20% of training organizations worldwide use female manikins at all. A 2024 controlled study showed a statistically significant increase in comfort performing CPR on women after training with female manikins and breast overlays. We're proud to offer PRESTAN female manikins to make a change in cardiac arrest survival in women. https://lnkd.in/gdhTqnnX #WomensHealthMonth #RaiseHerChances

May is also Women's Health Month. To honor it, we're bringing attention to the discrepancy in cardiac arrest survival rates in women. • Women consistently have lower survival rates after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest • Women are less likely to receive bystander CPR • Women are less likely to receive defibrillation There are a variety of reasons why this happens, with the most prominent being fear of exposure. For Women's Health Month, we're not only bringing awareness to this issue, but solutions to raise the survival rate of women in cardiac arrest. #WomensHealthMonth #CPRSavesLives
