About us

Butterball helps consumers celebrate traditional holidays and every day meal occasions with its branded line of products. As the most recognized name in turkey, the brand represents more than 60 years of cherished memories by providing quality, great tasting products that make meals something to celebrate every day. Butterball, LLC is headquartered just outside Raleigh, NC and is the largest producer of turkey products in the U.S. - distributing approximately 1 billion pounds of turkey each year. Our success is dependent upon our team members located across North Carolina, Arkansas and Missouri who all have a seat at our table to contribute to Butterball's success. At Butterball we make turkey. But what we help make is far more important. We help make moments big and small. Help make a connection between generations. Because food has the ability to connect people…and sharing what matters shows you care. That’s why we help people pass love on every day.

  • This week, we proudly celebrated the graduation of our 2025-26 Management Trainees! Over the past year, these 16 trainees fully immersed themselves in the program by learning all aspects of Butterball’s operations, building meaningful connections, and growing as future leaders. We concluded the program with a final celebration and placement ceremony, recognizing both the successful completion of the program and the trainees who accepted full-time roles with Butterball. We’re excited to share that all 16 trainees received full-time offers. We’re incredibly proud of everything this group has accomplished throughout the program and look forward to the impact they will continue to make across our organization. A special thank you to the many team members who dedicated their time, mentorship, and support throughout the program. Your investment in developing emerging talent continues to make this program such a meaningful experience. The Management Trainee Program’s success would not have been possible without each of you. 💙 #ManagementTrainee #RotationalProgram #LifeAtButterball

What does it really mean to pass love on at work? We exist to help people pass love on, and that purpose comes to life every day through our people. Hear from Nicole Flowers, HR Generalist, and how she brings our purpose to life in a meaningful way. “In my role as an HR Generalist at Butterball, I pass love on by showing compassion, support, and appreciation to those around me. I strive to make team members feel heard and valued, and I believe small acts of kindness can make the biggest impact. One example is making turkey dumplings for management to help lift morale and create moments of connection, appreciation, and comfort. In HR, those personal touches help build trust, strengthen workplace relationships, and create a more positive culture where people feel genuinely cared for.” Nicole’s approach is a reminder that culture is built through consistent care and everyday moments that bring people together. 💙 #EmployeeVoices #PassLoveOn

At Butterball, passing love on is more than a phrase. It is a way of working every day. Octovais Carmichael, 1st Processing Production Superintendent, shares how this shows up in his leadership: “In my role, it is a must that love is passed on. In the roles we hold as people leaders, we are committed to the phrase ‘each one teaches one.’ I have a joy and passion for leading and developing others. Teaching what I have learned and helping others avoid the mistakes I have made creates a safer, better, and stronger workplace for those here now and those who will come after us. Passing love on is a key indicator that we understand our Purpose and can explain the why behind what we do. It also fosters a sense of belonging for those we reach.” This is what it looks like when Purpose comes to life on the floor. Thank you, Octovais, for leading with care, developing others, and strengthening the teams around you. 💙 #EmployeeVoices #PassLoveOn

  • Since graduating from the Management Trainee Program, Noah Watson has been a Production Supervisor in the Ready-To-Cook department at our Mount Olive facility, where he continues to grow his leadership impact. “What I enjoy most is that no two days are alike. Every day brings new opportunities to learn and develop both my skill sets and my team. The MT program prepared me to work across different departments and better understand each part of the process. I’ve seen the most growth in my ability to take in and interpret information to understand how each area impacts one another. One takeaway from the program I’ll carry with me is the importance of being adaptable.” We’re proud to see our MT graduates continue to develop their skills and make a meaningful impact across the organization.💙
