Join us as we transform the lives of young people in Flint and Genesee County. Boys & Girls Club is committed to serving more youth, more often. • We’re proud to share that the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint recently attended the 2026 Boys & Girls Club Michigan Area Council & Youth of the Year Conference! Alongside Clubs from across the state, our team had the opportunity to learn, grow, and celebrate the incredible youth we serve—especially those participating in the Youth of the Year program. A highlight of the experience was spending time in Lansing, where we advocated for the vital role Boys & Girls Clubs play in supporting young people and strengthening communities. We were also excited to celebrate a local champion—Senator John Cherry —who was recognized by the Michigan Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs as this year’s Legislative Champion. Representing right here in Genesee County, his support of youth and our mission makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Moments like these remind us that together, we are building brighter futures for Michigan’s youth. #GreatFutures #BGCMichigan #YouthOfTheYear #AdvocacyInAction

  • 🎨✨ Fueling Creativity This Holiday Season ✨🎨 We’re proud to partner with Michaels to help spark creativity for the next generation of creators in our communities! From now through January 31, 2026, customers at Michaels stores across the U.S. and Canada can round up their purchase or donate at checkout to support Boys & Girls Clubs of America and BGC Canada (Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada). These donations support programs that help kids tap into their creative potential — providing art supplies, hands-on activities, and safe spaces where imagination and self-expression can thrive. Creativity makes a real difference: 🎨 71% of Boys & Girls Clubs kids in the U.S. say art helps them express their emotions 🎨 91% of kids in BGC Canada programs say creativity builds confidence and encourages them to try new things With nearly 84% of Michaels stores located within 15 miles of a Boys & Girls Club, this campaign creates a powerful local impact — helping kids and families right in the communities Michaels serves. 🛒 How to participate: • Round up your purchase at self-checkout • Donate $1, $3, or $5 at the register Every dollar helps young people learn, grow, and express themselves through creativity. Thank you, Michaels, and thank you to every customer who helps make this season brighter for Club kids! 💙 #HolidayGiving #FuelCreativity #BGCGreaterFlint #CommunityPartnership #GreatFuturesStartHere

  • The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint is deeply grateful to General Motors and the GM Flint-area plants for their generous support of our kids and families — through both the Community Impact Grant and holiday donations that bring comfort, joy, and stability during the season when it’s needed most. Because of GM’s continued investment, we are able to strengthen STEAM education, provide safe and enriching programs, and support families with essential resources during the holidays. This support helps ensure our Club members not only succeed academically, but also feel supported, cared for, and hopeful. We are also thankful for the dedication of GM employees, whose generosity and commitment to giving back make a lasting difference across our community. Thank you, GM, for standing with Flint’s youth and families and for helping us create bright futures and holiday joy. #ThankYouGM #BGCGreaterFlint #CommunityImpact #HolidayGiving #STEAMEducation #GreatFuturesStartHere #FlintStrong

  • Yesterday, 15 of our Club teens had the opportunity to participate in our Annual Shop with a Hero event! This special experience allows our teens to shop side by side with local heroes, building confidence, creating connections, and spreading holiday joy. Smiles were big, carts were full, and memories were made! Thank you to our heroes and partners who make this meaningful event possible year after year. #BGCFlint #ShopWithAHero #GreatFuturesStartHere
