Bluefish was built on a clear methodology for AI visibility, and Google's new guidance validates it. Tools that generate a page for every fan-out query variant are now in violation of Google's scaled content abuse policy. An entire class of AI optimization tactics has been reclassified as a policy violation. Bluefish has long advocated to enterprise brands that AI visibility is won through fundamentals, not shortcuts: → AI is smarter than exact keyword or prompt matches → Depth and quality of data drive AI representation → Shortcuts don't work and are no longer a good investment strategy A clear line is forming in AI marketing technology: vendors selling tactics, and partners building durability. Google's guidance makes the distinction official. Read the full analysis from our co-founder and COO, Jing Feng: https://lnkd.in/gqCRvajE

Bluefish was proud to be part of the MMA Global CMO AI Transformation Summit last Thursday. Enterprise marketing leaders from some of the world's most influential brands came together for substantive conversations about what it actually takes to build an AI marketing strategy — not the tactical checklist version, but the strategic organizational shift it actually represents. Thanks again to Greg Stuart and Rex Briggs for having our CEO Alex Sherman on the Decoding AI for Marketing Podcast. A great conversation on why showing up in AI isn't enough, and why accuracy is becoming the new edge for brands.
AI is a marketing channel - build your strategy accordingly. Alex Sherman, CEO of Bluefish, says brands need to start treating AI like a true marketing channel, not just another variation of SEO. As consumers shift from search engines to answer engines like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot, Sherman explains why it’s no longer enough to simply “show up” - brands need to control how they’re represented, what data models learn from, and how they influence AI-generated recommendations. He breaks down how Bluefish works with major brands to: • Close the growing “content gap" • Optimize for machine-readable data • Measure performance across new AI KPIs like visibility, favorability, and influence Plus: why the marketing funnel isn’t dead but accelerating, how companies are moving from playing defense to offense in AI, and what the rise of agentic commerce could mean for the future of paid media. Bluefish has been named to the CB Insights 100 for 2026. Agentic Marketing is a category being defined in real time. The Fortune 500 brands building with Bluefish are setting the standard for how enterprises show up across every AI surface — from monitoring to activation to measurement. The agentic internet has to be one consumers can trust and brands can stand behind. That's what we're building at Bluefish. https://lnkd.in/gwbc_avn

Six months of citation data across ChatGPT, Google, Perplexity, and Meta AI shows each vertical cites consistently and each cites differently. What that means: AI relies on different content depending on the category. For brands optimizing marketing for AI, the source mix is the starting point. It's a map of how trust is built in each vertical, and a strategy built for one will underperform in another because the sources AI trusts are fundamentally different. In Healthcare, publishers and nonprofits combined account for 42% of citations, signaling third-party authority carries more weight here than anywhere else in the data. In CPG, no single source dominates, illustrating the value driven by every marketing lever. In Entertainment and Media, publishers, social, and blogs account for the majority of citations over brand sites. AI presence here isn't owned, it's earned. → Swipe to see more. Showing up in AI answers isn't enough. Brands need to show up with accuracy, ensuring every answer is factually correct. Our CEO Alex Sherman joined Greg Stuart (MMA Global) and Rex Briggs on the Decoding AI for Marketing Podcast to discuss why accuracy in AI is a new competitive edge for brands' agentic marketing performance. Highlights from the conversation: → Consumers expect models to do the R&D for them. The consumer path to purchase isn't shorter, it's a different experience. → How a brand is portrayed matters more than presence alone. → Understanding the why behind a brand's representation is where real optimization starts. This is the work we do at Bluefish: helping enterprise brands understand, influence, and measure what matters most in AI. Listen here: https://lnkd.in/gWDhnq4h

Accuracy in AI is more than just brand protection, it's the next customer experience and growth lever. A consumer who gets correct, trustworthy information from AI at the research stage is more likely to convert, more likely to return, and more likely to trust the brand the next time AI surfaces it. Today Bluefish launched AI Accuracy — the first-of-its-kind technology that gives enterprise brands a verified source of truth and a path to feed accurate information back to AI channels. Protecting brand reputation, earning consumer trust, and driving real business outcomes across the new purchase path. Learn more about the agentic future we're building here: https://lnkd.in/gdcbjteQ

When AI gets facts about a brand wrong, consumers don't blame AI. They blame the brand. For enterprise brands — especially those operating in regulated industries or with hundreds of SKUs — the surface area for AI to cite an error is enormous. Until today, brands had no way to identify, measure, or address these risks at scale. Introducing Bluefish AI Accuracy: a first-of-its-kind technology that continuously measures whether AI channels represent a brand factually and feeds corrected brand data back to the source. A more accurate AI-driven internet starts here. Read the announcement in comments.
