Today is #WorldLupusDay and we are proud to support the millions of people living with lupus around the world. Lupus is a chronic, complex, unpredictable, and serious condition. Flares come without warning. Damage accrues between them. It affects women, men, and children, and most heavily on undeserved communities. This year, World Lupus Day also falls on Mother’s Day. Many people living with lupus are mothers, daughters, partners, and caregivers — managing an unrelenting disease while showing up each day for others. And for those planning to build a family, the path can be especially complex — lupus disproportionately affects women during child-bearing years, and family planning often means navigating difficult conversations about flares, medications, and risk alongside hope. Every woman on this journey deserves informed, compassionate care that honors both her health and her hopes.
