As Beamlink's mission is to help cover the next 3.5B+ people with high-speed 4G and 5G coverage, it was wonderful to be able to attend the inaugural India Mobile Congress in New Delhi. India has seen one of the fastest expansions in mobile Internet in modern history, with over 900 million people having access to high-speed 4G or 5G coverage, truly inspiring. In the words of PM Narendra Modi, who inaugurated the conference, the price of a data package is now less than a cup of tea. Thank you to Jio, airtel, and Vodafone Idea Limited for meeting with us to discuss bringing the Bentocell technology to new rural and urban areas and establishing proof of concept projects. We were honored to meet with Reet sundaram from the Department of Telecommunications ( DOT ) and hear about how Fiber to the Home projects are progressing in rural areas and how wireless can be layered on top of fiber infrastructure. Beamlink's Bentocell has already been deployed in 4 countries, and we hope to add India to the list very soon. And that’s a wrap to Beamlink’s time at the 80th UN General Assembly!  Our (newly promoted) Head of Engineering, Simran Saxena, and our CEO and cofounder, Mateo Abascal, spent the past few days at UN HQ in New York.  We’re grateful to the International Telecommunication Union for the invitation, and had a great time discussing our #Partner2Connect pledge with stakeholders from around the world in telecom, disaster management, human rights, and more.  At the Digital@UNGA anchor event, we heard about global advances in digital identity, disaster mitigation and recovery, access to diverse content, and other topics of digital inclusivity.  One theme brought up by almost every leader, however, was connectivity and the ethical threat of AI.  Gen AI in particular is one of the most life-changing technologies in recent history, and given that it relies on connectivity (and likely always will), it serves to also be the most dividing technology in the near future.  The equity gap around the world will only grow with the advent and distribution of Gen AI – that is, unless someone can solve the connectivity gap worldwide… #beamlink #unga #itu #un #telecom #connectivity

🇨🇭And we're back from Geneva, Switzerland, where Beamlink was invited by the United Nations International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to exhibit at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS). We showcased how carriers are using Bentocells to expand coverage and reach places previously "too expensive to cover." As a proud ITU member, it was an honor to join global leaders shaping the future of connectivity. Over the week, we met with ministers, regulators, and telcos from every continent discussing how to bridge the digital divide with scalable, sustainable infrastructure.
